Don't Pull Your Love, Draggin' The Line, Signs, Do You Know What I Mean, Sweet City Woman all excellent pop tunes from the era, and big hits. Smiling Faces Sometimes, A Natural Man, Thin Line Between Love and Hate, Have You Seen Her all classic soul cuts. Scorpio is a great funky instrumental. Some of these songs are otherwise hard to find. I recommend this CD to anyone who likes great early 70s hit songs.

Stay Awhile is a softer pop ballad, whereas Treat Her Like A Lady and Precious, Precious are great soul cuts. Chick-A-Boom (Don't Ya Jes' Love It) is a naughty, humourous pop song. Many of these songs are otherwise hard to find. I recommend this CD to anyone who likes great early 70s hit songs.

      This collection of hit songs is especially interesting. Humor songs are well represented in Hot Rod Lincoln and I Gotcha. Funky, danceable numbers are included in Rock Steady, Clean Up Woman, and the risque Jungle Fever. Oh Girl is a classic soul ballad, whereas the soft Suavecito has a slight Latin flair. Brand New Key and How Do You Do could be described as cutesy, whereas Nice To Be With You is good mainstream pop. Many of these songs are otherwise hard to find. I recommend this CD to anyone who likes great early 70s hit songs.

      Now that Rhino's oldest "Have A Nice Day" series CDs are going out of print, this is a terrific substitute. Although there are only 10 songs on this CD, every song is quite good, and best of all, they're all from a very narrow time period, in this case summer 1970. There are no shortened versions, inferior versions, or ... remakes in this compilation; what you hear is exactly the way these songs sounded on the radio, decades ago in that era of idealism, protest, and (as always) romance.

Great soul tunes abound, as in Turn Back The Hands Of Time, Love On A Two-Way Street, Love Land, and O-o-h Child. Some of these songs are otherwise hard to find. I recommend this CD to anyone who likes great early 70s hit songs.
