About the Artist
Formed in the summer of 2002 and hailing from the sleepy town of Pearland, Texas, A Step Behind has emerged as a punk band to be reckoned with. With a blend of energy, motivation, melody, and drive A Step Behind doles out catchy, sometimes emotional songs, that incorporate their life experiences, hopes, and even dreams which have tugged at the ears and souls of their many fans who relate to every verse.

Writing awesome songs, playing high-energy shows, and focusing on their fans and would be fans have made A Step Behind a band to watch. "Our focus is to energize the crowd with the energy that we feel every night on stage," says lead singer Matt Geronimo.

During the last few years A Step Behind has been working hard to build a reputation for themselves by playing dozens of shows throughout Texas and the West Coast, leaving an inevitable mark in every town, developing an ever-growing fan base. Their hard work and determination allowed A Step Behind to finish 5th out of over 4,000 bands nationwide in the Ernie Ball Battle of the Band's 8. It's a good listen........2005-03-23

If I could I would give it 4 and a half, but if I have to decide between 4 or 5, I lean towards 5. I don't own this CD, but I have all the tracks in mp3 form on my iPod and I have to say, there isn't a bad one in the group. I listen to it all the time, and if I had the cd it would be worn out by now. I like every song, and I also like the way the drumming sounds. It's kind of rough and doesn't sound really professionally done, but it sounds great. The songs are so catchy and I find myself singing them all day. If you're looking for a pretty good new group to listen to check out A Step Behind
