Bought the CD - What a GREAT singer from the U.K.!; has a sexy, fabulous, beautiful voice! (FAR BETTER,I feel, THAN JOE COCKER) Great,talented musicians on CD! His (Joe Fagin's) phrasing is so wonderful, so perfect. Sings with so much feeling! Wish I discovered him earlier! If you like this, I highly suggest buying Joe Fagin - "All The Hits"! It contains the wonderful television series' song, "As Time Goes Buy" on that CD. Actually, that CD is my favorite! Listen to "Love Hangs By a Thread - on both CD's - WONDERFUL!FABULOUS!! Also on "All The Hits", "Why Don't We Spend the Night Together" and "Younger Days"!! (both hits in U.S. & U.K.) Check out "(For Now)Let's Take The Night" and "Crazy In Love"(All The Hits Plus More) BOTH GREAT SONGS!. He's also performs on "The Wind & The Willows - A Rock Concert" CD, "I'd Forgotten How to Smile" with Val McKenna - the best song, I feel, on that CD and also on "Paris, A Love Story" which I've ordered and haven't received yet! hmmm this was a let down. i really can't comprehend why ol fagin made an all the best album when there aren't any "best". if this cd was called all the gay, it might be ok. BUT NOT! Fagin is at his worst here and this cd will make you cry, if your lucky enough to not have your ears bleed. May this cd die.

Re-recorded versions but a fascinating singer.......2005-03-01

Tony Burrows, it seems, was content to be a session singer, yet he was a member of several different pop groups during the sixties and seventies. The original recordings were made for several different record labels and I doubt if it would be commercially viable to bring them all together in one compilation. Nevertheless, this set of re-recorded hits shows what an interesting career Tony had.

He was at various times a member of the Ivy League (Funny how love can be, Tossing and turning), the Flowerpot Men (Let's go to San Francisco), Edison Lighthouse (Love grows where my Rosemary goes), White Plains (My baby loves loving, I've got you on my mind, Julie do ya love me, When you are a king), Brotherhood of man (United we stand) and First class (Beach baby), all of which were big UK hits, most of them making the top ten, with the Edison Lighthouse record going all the way to number one. When Tony finally released a solo single (Melanie makes me smile), it failed to chart.

These re-recordings are not as good as the originals, but while some of the originals are easy to find on various artists compilations and/or individual group compilations, some of the less famous songs may prove tricky to obtain elsewhere.

Avoid this re-recording and hold out for the originals........2005-02-06

There's something very dishonest in hiding the fact that the recordings are in fact re-recordings-you don't find out until the cd packaging comes off and you own it. Worse yet , the re-recordings sound just off enough that they are irritating to listen to.Look for the original versions, I know I will.

Just so you know... this is a country flavored CD, not what you may be expecting as the original pop cut of Indian Reservation.

I wish I had known this before buying, but just in case it's important to you, you know now.

Strong country collection.......2004-11-29

After Don Fardon had a country hit with John D Loudermilk's Indian Reservation, the song was recorded by The Raiders and reached number 2 on the Billboard charts in 1971. This album contains Fardon's original plus a remixed dance version of the magnificent song.

Jodie's Song is a great lilting number with prominent fiddle and gripping chorus whilst Brown Eyed And Blue is a lovely ballad and Gone Country is a prime example of the country story song. Who's That Man is a poignant example of the divorce song and the uptempo Good Woman's Love with its joyful piano lines tells the story of true love found and kept.

The rock song Belfast Boy reminds me of Van Morrison in its vocals and arrangement, whilst the bouncy Losing You has strong pop appeal. The tuneful Caught In The Crossfire of Love has a lively instrumental mix with rolling piano and amazing fiddle flourishes.

Cocktail Bar Blues is a funny drinker's anthem that mentions an impressive list of drinks in three minutes, followed by the yearning road song Fear Of Losing You. This pleasant album that contains a varied selection of melodic songs with all the familiar country themes concludes with a flowing dance mix of Indian Reservation.

Since these remake never were hits. Even worse without Peter Noone. Selling CD like this it's a legal way to steal. Thousand of people buy this CD hoping they will get the original recordings.

This CD contains Tracks with Original member Jan Barry "The Bean" Whitwam (drums) and the "new hermits" Geoff Foot (lead voice), Geoff Kerry and Alec Johnson. The voice of G. Kerry (not on this CD as lead-voice) is better, but CDs are just sold directly from Barry Whitwam, England, Tel.: +44/161/428-6460 or 5310.

I agree with the previous reviewer. This is not the Herman's Hermits with Peter Noonan but some assembly of guys singing HH tunes. The is a misrepresentation. Can I exchange this for the REAL Herman's Hermits?

These are not orginal songs and was a big disappointment.
Steer clear. Can I get my money back?
