When people compare a band to Queen and early Elton John, the listener is usually skeptical as to who in the current day could pull off such a daunting task. The answer is JETLINER. Armed with a 5-foot baby grand piano that they haul from gig to gig--as well as a melodic sense not usually associated with a rock band--they are the real deal. And the buzz is spreading.

For lead singer, Adam Paskowitz, it's a no-brainer. "My mom was an opera singer and people had always told me, 'get back on the piano, no one in rock can do that but you'," he says with confidence. The truth is, no one in today's modern rock can do what JETLINER does: a blend of new rock with classic 70's vocal harmonies and piano. "It sounds crazy for today, but it all fits," says Adam.

Paskowitz leads JETLINER and his background shows through their songs. From a famous surfing family, this child surf-star-turned singer/songwriter has already signed two major record deals, spawned a top five single, toured the world, opened for The Rolling Stones, played on MTV and sold over 700,000 albums.

"I had just finished playing two weeks of back-to-back alt rock radio festivals with a few more to go, and when I got to my hotel there was this huge piano in the lobby. It had been like two years since I had played one, but a 9 foot Steinway is a little hard to resist. I sat down to play it and six hours later--at 3:00 in the morning--I was on the phone with four new song ideas," says Adam. The first call he made was to his long-time friend The Duke--a Southern California native who played piano with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the tender age of 12. "So I quit everything I was doing and went at it like a mad dog", Paskowitz continues, "looking for a smaller piano, building a studio, and getting my friend Jeff Kluesner to come out of hiding to play guitar for us." Jeff--the imposing cue-ball headed guitarist of the band--brings talent and intensity to the fold that is almost tangible.

The trio kept writing, and after adding the powerhouse rhythm section of drummer Rob Jones and bassist Michael Kujawa to the line-up, this JETLINER was off the ground. JETLINER is a five-piece outfit that welds power-pop and melodic 70's rock with a piano legacy that few can lay claim to--especially in these times of short-lived alt rock.

JETLINER is currently touring in support of their recently released self-titled debut.

Incredibly Enjoyable.......2006-10-01

This album is thoroughly enjoyable!

I started off really liking the David Bowie song Life on Mars after playing it on Jetliners myspace site and because I thoroughly enjoy the lead singer from other bands he has been involved with in the past and music they have made.

I have come to like other tracks equally if not more! Lush is one of my favorites because of the beats in it and how fun it is. This album has mellow songs in Movie (My Life) and songs with great beats in them such as Lowrider. I really like Let me Down as everyone feels like that once in a while and sometimes if feels good to feel bad!

I am rating this album 5 because there is not a song on it that I do not really like! I am looking forward to receiving their earlier album Jetliner which is still on order.

Having been a fan of Adam in Mozart and then The Flys, I was already smitten with his beautiful voice before receiving this! The album is superb. As a huge Queen fan too, I can hear the influences all the way through. Can't wait for the new album 'Space Station' coming very soon! I hope that Amazon will be stocking it, so we can get it in the UK...

This band is even better live!.......2005-06-30

I saw these guys a few weeks ago at the Roxy, and was blown away! Picked up the earlier release shortly thereafter, and I must say, it's not *quite* as good as the newer stuff I heard live, but, hey, until the new disc comes out, this'll more than suffice! Everyone I know who hears this, compares them with Queen (unless the first song they hear is "Little Steps", in which case they say Elton John). To that, I would have to say, well, ummm... kinda, but not really. Nothing in their sound is directly comparable to Queen; the overall sound is just a bit more dramatic than the normal crap you hear on the radio these days. Hey, that's a good thing! Classic rock fans rejoice, Jetliner has landed. Can't wait for Space Station!

JETLINER is totally awesome! I was really suprised by how good this CD was. The lyrics and music are top notch and blow everything on the radio away. If there is any justice in the world, these guys will be the "next big thing."

Take the best things about The Fly's and the best things about Mozart and add some new freshness and you get Jetliner. I was singing these songs at work after just 3 listenings of the CD.
I'm glad to see that Adam is just doing what comes naturally. All of the songs are great.
