Digipak. Doomfoxx's debut is set to impress. With influences that youll recognize of rock's heroes, but with their own unique sound and quality production from legendary Australian producer, Peter Blyton, this is a record that is going to make a statement for many years to come. It's rock 'n' roll in it's purest form. This is a record that Doomfoxx is proud to have made and you will love to listen to over and over again. Armageddon. 2005.

Doomfoxx try to get their motor running.......2006-06-15
But the fun factor isn' always there. The songs roll along nicely and you really get the feeling that they would utterly roar in a pub in Sydney. There may be no new words of wit/wisdom here but that's not necessarily what your looking for in a band like this. The exception to their general musical rut is track 5 - Beautiful Friends which is actually a slightly touching and travel stained gem.
In terms of down 'n' dirty R'n'R Doomfoxx try to deliver the goods, with soungs 'bout sex, drugs and rockin' out. A few studio tricks also help things along.
Main and major gripe with this album is that the songs sound so downbeat, like something drug addicts would listen to while coming down from their high. The production is only OK by modern standards, the packaging isn't right (hey, they are trying to pass themselves off as a rawk party band - so why the rather depressing skull on the back cover).
Overall a below standard release for this type of music. Way below the fun factor of Tokyo Dragons, Crystal Pistol and even Backyard Babies. But they are trying, and with luck and a little foreign exposure they'll hopefully sharpen their attack.
And please, no more lyrics like this charming couplet from track 9 - Drugs
"We're gonna drug her, .... her, share her with our brother"
You get why I'm only giving this two stars now don't you....
