Editorial Reviews

Product Description
Limited edition 2004 album from Kings Of Leon featuring the first single 'The Bucket'. Hand Me Down. Having released a debut album that you can safely say was well received (the NME described it as, 'one of the best debut albums of the last ten years'), Kings Of Leon have their work cut out to produce a suitable follow-up. Thankfully their sophomore effort, the strangely titled ‘A-Ha Shake Heartbreak’, is more than a match for its illustrious predecessor. Fast paced, lyrically shocking and, rather surprisingly, with added yodelling, ‘A Ha Shake Heartbreak’, is a shoe-in for one of the best albums of 2004.

Customer Reviews:

3 out of 5 stars Some good, some boring.......2006-12-12

Recommended by a friend that loved them opening for Pearl Jam at a recent show.

They are a very basic rock band with some interesting lyrics and a fair amount of drive when they get fired up. When they try to be more introspective or lyrical, they tend to drag.

Out of the thirteen tracks, I have to skip two. They are just too tiresome to wade through.

On the other hand, I really like Four Sticks. Overall, I like "Youth and Young Manhood" better.

5 out of 5 stars Yep, They're Great.......2005-06-02

This is the Japanese version of the album. It includes Where Nobody Knows, which as been released on several CDs but this is the only album CD that has included it.

Because you either adore or detest the Kings of Leon, and because the band has not only made it but is obviously going to be a major voice in rock, I see no point in the host of reviews that are either cheerleading or dissing them. I've not seen a band generate so much love/hate since the Stones broke in way back in 1964 (and I'm old enough to remember that very clearly).

Personally, I'm convinced KOL will be one of the greatest bands ever (and I can count the number of bands I've said that about over the last 40 years on one hand)....and yes, I've seen them live more than once.

For those of you who don't want to miss a moment of the bliss as it arrives, here is a comprehensive list of what KOL has released. Here is a key to the notations so you won't miss any of their releases:
