Customer Reviews:
Quantum Immortality.......2004-11-27
An addictive CD to be sure. No two songs sound the same. I find myself haunted by the old internal replay for days after listening to this collection of tunes. Often my boyfriend and I find our brains playing the same songs at the exact same time. Creativity squared, these dudes experiment with a variety of styles, all of which sound uniquely theirs. They are all adept musicians, verging at times on virtuosity. Listen and you will be hooked.
My boyfriend says this music is healthy like zucchini, but deep-fried and spicy...and dripping with cheese.

If I were stranded on a desert island, and I could only listen to five albums, Quantum Immortality had better be among them. :)
Living up to the name..........2004-11-24
There is nothing else like Las Pesadillas. Somehow they blend seemingly incongruous styles (jazz, metal, surf, alternative rock, country, blues, klezmer, baroque, classical, gypsy, punk, Giorgio Moroder) into a mighty lethal concoction that isn't a sum of parts, but an entirely new part altogether. Las Pesadillas show that everything hasn't been done before and that there is new musical ground to discover.
Moody, funny, haunting, scary, sweet, heavy, beautiful, sad, and deep are a few words that describe this music. Layers of beautiful stuff swimming around and vibrating with the stuff that makes us.
Everyone is hungry for something different and new. This is it.
Get In on the Ground Floor.......2004-11-19
Stated simply, this album rocks. It also jazzes, progs, sambas, waltzes, klezmers, folks, polkas, country and westerns, and bossanovas. These guys move between musical styles seamlessly.
Because it is impossible to describe the sounds on this recording, I will just say that if you like Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Pixies, Frank Black, Primus, Queen, Beck, The Beatles, Mr. Bungle, Ween, Talking Heads, Rush, or David Bowie, you will realize after hearing Quantum Immortality that they are all crap by comparison. Well, maybe that's a little harsh.
Let's just say that if you actually like to listen to music, you will like this album.
GET IT NOW THAT'S AN ORDER!
Buy This Amazing Album!!!.......2004-11-19
Well, I cant say enough awesome things about Las Pesadilla's second release, but I'll try anyway....There arent too many bands out there nowadays that can incorporate unconventional intruments like the violyn, keyboard, flute, accordian (and etc.)and still rock the living piss out of you! If you're a fan of music in general "Quantum Imortality" is for you. There are a plethora of genres present on this album: rock, punk, country, bluegrass but above all it leans mostly to russian and east indian folk music...I think. I really have no idea how to describe this record to you, its that mind bogling! You just have to listen. Anyone who is a fan of The Secret Chiefs (from S.F.), Mr. Bungle or ORIGINALITY for that matter, this is definetly your cup of tea. I give it six hundred and sixty six stars!!!!!!
