Editorial Reviews
Product Description
SOM NOSSO DE CADA DIA stands unquestionably as one of the best Progressive rock bands from the prolific Brazilian Seventies scene. Their music proves to be both complex and refined, illustrated by a quite elegant singing in Portuguese. Whilst keeping in mind some fondness for the American jazz-rock school, the baroque and precious symphonism developped by their long compositions can also evoke the Italian school, which is highlighted by PREMIATA FORNERIA MARCONI, CELESTE or BANCO DEL MUTUO SOCCORSO. The short but eventful story of this formation shows up with "A Procura Da Essencia - Ao Vivo 1975-1976". Designed to celebrate the thirtieth birthday of the famous album "Snegs" (1974), this double album presents unreleased recordings that were taken from concerts played in 1975 and 1976 in Sao Paulo. Patiently reworked by the original members, the tracks were selected according to their rarity and sound quality. Extracts from the ambitious suite "Amazonia", that were unfortunately never recorded in studio, are found among them. In short, this is a page of history that will delight as much collectors as South-American symphonic Progressive rock lovers.
