Suprise.......2007-02-08

I won't say anything about the music, as with queensryche, you know that it's quallity you get. I just want to tell what you DON'T get, namely a booklet with lyrics for each album, no pictures or sleevenotes, and the discs themselves aren't in hard cases.
Also the box, a "sweet" little thing the size of 3 cd hardcovers side by side and the "artwork" on the whole package sucks. Really, just buy the individual discs!

The ultimate collection in one box.......2006-07-26

It took a while for it to happen, but when it did, I got it immdiately. All of the Queensryche albums on CD, Remastered, expanded and in one package, is their anything else a fan could ask for. The only thing about buing the box set, you loose out on all of the expanded packaging and coverart that the seperate CD cases have, but I you gain the promisland CD-rom game, an interesting release that you may have owned when it first came out (about $30 orignally), then re-release with the greatest hits, and now in the box set. Still, fun to mess around with. I think the set speaks for itself, It got all the the classic queensryche albums, is there anything more? It would be silly to get anything else. So use this as a base set to build your collection from, and add on with Q2K, tribe, Livecrime, live evolution, art of live, and the newest release Mindcrime 2.

Must Have.......2005-04-17

This contains the core of queensryche music. I only rated it 4 because the game that comes with it is boring ( not a fan of Myst type games) Overall this is a must have collection.

Nice for Novices, Hairy for Hardcores........2003-11-08

I have to say that for ANY BEGINNERS who want to know what Queensryche is all about they will obviously get it all here. Furthermore, if you are a novice to this music, you probably could care less about the packaging. However, for the seasoned veteran of the band who already knows the music...go for the individual remastered discs. They have more aesthetic value. You can live without the box itself.

A strange little box.......2003-09-09

The Queensryche Revolution Box set is a hard release to rate with stars. This is nothing but a revenue sucking machine for the bands former label EMI. It is safe to say that the band had nothing to do with the concept of this project. The set is overpriced with EMI knowing that only the hard core fans will want this. There was no love in the design. The CD sleeves are simple shell reproductions of the studio CD releases and the box is awkward and rounded out with the Promised Land CD Rom game that I am sure they are desperate to unload because I paid next to nothing for a copy through the mail years ago.

Having said all of that the music is amazing, and isn't that what it is really about? Do you want to rock out or sit and stare at a box? The early remastered discs sound ten times better and the bonus tracks are a dream of a find... the whole set is almost worth it just for the Tokyo tracks that close the remastered EP. The best thing about this release is that it closes the door on bootleggers. The bonus material is stellar. I was close to just buying the remastered EP, Warning, Rage, and Mindcrime but I bit the bullet and am glad that I did. Die hards will love this. 5 stars for the music but overall 4 stars because you have to judge it as a boxset release and there are no added photos, booklets, liner notes, offers, stickers, or lyrics etc. The Bonus tracks are the real deal...
