5 out of 5 stars early Priest at its best........2007-06-19

This is my favorite 70s Priest album, and for good reason. Hell Bent For Leather takes the heavyness of earlier albums and speeds it up. Cross "Sinner" with "Exciter," and that's kind of what you've got. "Delivering The Goods" is a kick-@ss opener and one of my five favorite Priest songs. It's an overlooked classic. The variety between the tracks while still maintaining a constant aggressive attitude is amazing. "Evening Star" is a bit more commercial, but still kicks along. Then, of course, there's the title track and "The Green Manalishi," both of which are very good as well. "Before The Dawn" is a beautiful ballad sort of thing that feels just a bit out of place, but the musicianship and emotion more than makes up for that. Essential Priest.

5 out of 5 stars Priest...Priest..Priest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......2007-04-24

A great album of course. Just received my cd version and it rocks!!!! Knew many of the tunes already."Delivering The Goods","Hell Bent For Leather","Take On The World","The Green Manalishi"(cover of The Mac),"Killing Machine" and "Before The Dawn" are the standouts.get it if you love Priest and re-visit the oldies. They are well worth it.
Look out for "Nostradamus" in the middle of the year or so.
Long live Priest and HALFORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4 out of 5 stars A headbanging classic........2007-03-20

Hell Bent was my first Judas Preist album and it was quite good, to me it seems like Judas were one of the most influential heavy metal bands of all time, they basicly reinvented speed metal and thrash. Every one from Iron Maiden to Metallica have been influenced by this group anyway Hellbent for leather was released in 1979 right after Stained Class it was a strong album but not as good as the previous one an album that sounded a bit darker and heavier. Hell Bent was aiming for a heavy metal and rock'n'roll type of sound and was more about staying up all night and partying which is great cause I like those things I mean who doesn't, there are alot of great tracks in this that make you want to headbang like Delivering the goods, Burning up, Green manalishi and Hellbent for leather and if you want the more slower but still excellent songs like the ballad Before the dawn and Evening star which has more of a commercial sound to it but its still very catchy, the song Take on the world is the only song I didn't like cause of its sing-a-long chorus line that sounds like a rip of from Queen's We will rock you. As time progressed throughout the 80's Judas Priest were one of the biggest heavy metal bands of all time, if you're looking for a fast, aggresive and brutally intense album then check this out the two guitar attack of Glen Tipton and K.K. Downing is characteristically blistering and they often come up with the most amazing solos and not to mention Rob Halford with his great high pitched voice and signature scream makes for a great combination, make sure that you get this album if your interested in Judas Priest becaues its very essential and make sure that you also get these other great releases from JP like Stained Class, British Steel, Screaming For Vengeance and Angel Of Retribution alot of people didn't like Turbo but I thought it was pretty good even though during that time they did sound like a cheesy 80's hair metal group it was still a fun album to listen to.

5 out of 5 stars A must-have for Priest fans.......2007-02-17

What can I say? Classic Priest with all the hard-driving sound you would expect. Besides the several top 40 hits you're familiar with, it's got some underplayed gems that I can't live without. (Burnin'Up, Killing Machine....) This was a -rebuy for me, since I've worn out a copy on vinyl and one on cassette tape. Have to have this in my collection.

4 out of 5 stars A very small step back, but undeniably good........2006-07-12

How could Judas Priest follow "Stained Class"? Either by cloning it, or by doing something different. They did the latter, with slightly-mixed results, though "Hell Bent..." is still a worthy disc. However, one thing I've never figured out is why the U.S. record company made them change the title...I did see a "Killing Machine" LP in Canada years ago...should have got it for the collectible aspect alone...

This is more experimental than "Stained Class" was in that they tried a few more commercial songs. Sometimes it was good ("Evening Star" is very catchy whilst still remaining heavy) and sometimes less so ("Before The Dawn" just isn't Priest, despite an operatic vocal from "Robert" Halford).

Overall, though, if you get this, you'll get standard Priest fist-pumpers like "Delivering The Goods", "Rock Forever", "Burnin' Up" and "Take On The World" (which they would virtually clone a few years later with "United" from "British Steel"). The Tipton/Downing guitar work is fine, Halford sings well, Les Binks is probably the best drummer they ever had (though Scott Travis comes close) and Ian Hill is solid if almost inaudible. The production from James Guthrie is clear but still allows the heaviness to come through.

I do have to say, though, that the outtakes added do not fit at all. The live "Riding On The Wind" shows them at a much later stage in their career, as does "Fight For Your Life", which is of course an embryonic version of "Rock Hard Ride Free" from "Defenders Of The Faith".

But still overall an essential part of the Priest canon.

Can't have the 80's without Flesh...Postcards from Paradise one of the best songs ever!

5 out of 5 stars One of the most underrated bands of the '80s.......2007-03-01

I wore this thing out when I was in college. I have been waiting for it, among other Flesh re-releases. Finally, we are starting to see them. Here is hoping there are more on the way. The beauty of Flesh for Lulu is that they made creative songs with hooks. You do not have to strain to "get" the songs, they are good at first listen and stay good.

5 out of 5 stars I love this CD/Album/Tape. . .. .......2007-01-18

It was my brother that turned me on to it. I had this brand new on cassette tape and wore it out. I was glad that it was placed on CD. I have burnt it MP3 and I have it on my iPod. The songs on this album are all upbeat and fun. I especially like "Lucky Day," "Hammer of Love," "Siamese Twist," & "I Go Crazy." Great 80s music.

5 out of 5 stars Postcards From Paradise.......2007-01-15

I searched forever for this CD. I could listen to Postcards over and over.

5 out of 5 stars THANK YOU!!!!.......2003-08-13

Okay, wow! I have been waiting YEARS for this to be reissued. This has got to be one of the BEST albums from the '80s!! "Postcards From Paradise" was the soundtrack to my senior year of high school. Even the lesser known songs "Sleeping Dogs", "Crash" and "Lucky Day" are amazing! And the bonus tracks *bows to Superfecta* I'm just amazed I actually have this.

5 out of 5 stars Great Frankie Laine arrangements.......2007-03-31

Rockin' contains some great singing by Frankie Laine backed up by a wonderful Los Angeles studio orchestra (Conrad Gozza, et. al) led by Paul Weston. The arrangements are spectacular! I recognize some Billy May charts - Weston , probably, did the string arrangements. GREAT STUFF here.

5 out of 5 stars Classic Frankie Laine.......2007-03-11

I was delighted to find this CD available on amazon.com as the quality of music these days has suffered so much as the level of talent is so often compromised to make a commercial disc.
The quality of this disc is outstanding musically as well as vocally !
I did enjoy the "Hell Bent For Leather" portion more than "the Rockin'" segment. I liked the old cowboy themes for what they are and the fact that they are definitive.
If you like classic cowboy music and good old vocals then get this disc !!

4 out of 5 stars the way they should sound.......2007-03-09

I'm not too fond of the Rockin half. I've only heard of a couple of the songs, I love the "Hell Bent for Leather" part. The songs are from my childhood. Frankie Laine has a great voice so I do like to hear him sing.
My Mom sang along with him, so this is a good memory.
I've heard songs from the second half on other records and they just don't sound the same as the originals.

5 out of 5 stars Rockin'/ Hell Bent For Leather.......2006-02-21

Frankie Laine at his best!! Perfect for anyone who loves the "old" music!

5 out of 5 stars Another great performer who's defined by what he isn't.......2005-10-09

Mention Frankie Laine and most people think of somebody who appeared on TV too much, and especially as some clueless sap who recorded the title tune for the vulgar movie sitcom "Blazing Saddles," and that's that. That's not that. Laine was a powerhouse, and if his emoting may not appeal to all listeners, we cannot deny his magnetism. A man who co-wrote the outstanding "We'll Be Together Again" deserves his plaudits.

Inevitably some double albums mesh the unmeshable, and while this entire disc is quite entertaining, the first album is the better. Where "Hell Bent for Leather!" is Laine in his "yeeeeee-HAH!" mode (another reason the stereotype sticks too rigidly to him), slickly and conventionally led by Johnny Williams (before he became Erich Wolfgang Korngold -- er, John Williams), "Rockin'" is a first-rate jazz album, and proves that with the right song and the right backing no one could surpass him. You have to wonder why Laine hasn't gotten his due. Is it the Mitch Miller angle? The fact that he recorded "I Believe"? Whatever, it's unjust, and anyone who brings two open ears to this recording will discover a supreme entertainer.

By marrying ambitious rhymes to a series of increasingly hot beats, Nappy Roots have effectively avoided the sophomore jinx. The Kentucky-based sextet have been around the world and back by now, but continue to mine their down-home southern roots for inspiration. On the lean and mean "Lac Dogs & Hogs," they rap about the satisfying relationship between a man and his ride, while on "Roun' the Globe" they proclaim that "the whole damn world is country." There are a few missteps here, mainly in the form of two Raphael Saadiq-produced songs that leave the group sounding like guest MCs on their own album. There are a few other cuts (the generic bounce track, "Twang," for example) that seem to have been added in an effort to appease record company flacks and appeal to a wider audience, but for the most part they stick with the style that worked so well the first time out. Even with its flaws, Wooden Leather is a success. --Rebecca Levine

Album Description

Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Pretty Solid Follow Up.......2007-02-23

I have the Clean version btw.

It definitely has a different sound than and theme than Watermelon Chicken and Gritz. their first album was more upbeat, party type atmosphere with a few songs (Blowing Trees and Po' Folks) being conscious and slower.

The converse is almost true for this album most songs are more politically conscious, with a large message behind wight a few upbeat party tracks.

Into 4/5 - hilarious skit with some Lil Yuk character who appears on their intros and outros. But only an intro

Good God Almighty 4/5 - Good beat, starts strong but ends week, but transitions into their next track quite well.

Nappy Roots Day 5/5 - Excellent beat by David Banner (a speed up sample of Beegees Holiday). They speak on them breaking out and success being as a result of them pulling through. Some of the best lyrics and interaction between the members.

Roun the Globe 5/5 - The Album's featured single. Solid beat, good chorus, and overall performance by all the members. Talking about the whole world being like Kentucky.

Lacs Dogs and Hogs 3/5 - Ok beat, chorus is like one line being repeated over and over. Lyrics are more or less glorifying their cars like My Ride in their first Album. But I don't think the song is strong straight through.

Sick and Tired 5/5 - 2nd Single. Excellent overall track. Again what we expect from Nappy Roots. Talking bout struggles, solid performance by Anthony Hamilton, excellent interaction between Clutch and Prophet. I donut know if any other group pulls it off as good as them.

Twang 3/5 - Beat is like someone plucking a ukulele or something. The lyrics are basically glorifying women. Some performances were good but overall it fell.

==here is where the album transitions to a slower more conscious songs

Leave This Morning 3.5/5 - Produced by and featuring Raphael Saadiq. Probably shouldnt have been singing on this one. But the guys had some solid performances on the track. But the bad chorus just sticks in my head.

Work In Progress 3.5/5 - Similar to Leave this Morning the performances by most of the guys are solid, but the chorus is weak IMO and the beat could have been a little tighter.

Push On 4.5/5 - The beat could be better but the lyrics are tight, Hamilton helped them out quite a bit on the chorus. The performances by Scales, B. Stille and Big V are solid. Song urges you to push on through adversity.

No Good 4/5 - A lil faster paced than the previous but provides a solid beat more like a party track. The performances could have been better, but the chorus salvages them in this one.

These Walls 4.5/5 - A Kanye West Production. I don't know whats the guy making this "uhh" sound but the beat is solid. Big V singing the chorus explains why rappers shouldn't sing (probably should enlist Hamilton). But the lyrics, and tribute to MLK at the end really hits home.

War/Peace 4/5 - A Freddie Macintosh Production. Rap/rock hybrid, good lyrics basically comparing opposite end of spectrum. War/Peace, Love/Lust, Heaven/Hell.

Roll Again 4.5/5 - Solid song. The each do their part, good beat, good chorus, again you hear a lot of reflections in their songs.

What Cha Gonna Do 3.5/5 - Club/party track produced by Lil John. Has a crunk type sound to it. Its alright but I am not so much a fan of it.

Light and Dark 4/5 - Them talking about what music means to them, featuring Anthony Hamilton again (who helps them out with a gospel sound).

Roun the globe collipark remix 2.5/5 - A poor remix. It doesn't have the feel of roun the gobe. The beat is like a low sound, when Roun the Globe has an upbeat pace. Just diddnt work, not to mention Ying Yang twins basically making it theirs.

OUttro - worse than intro

Overall good album, just not as solid as the first. This one is a little more conscious now

5 out of 5 stars Sophomore albums make or break a group; here...it makes the group.......2006-05-02

OutKast's debut album Southernplayalisticcadillacmuzik and Beastie Boys' LTI (Licensed to Ill) as well as Nappy Roots' WCG (Watermelon , Chicken, and Gritz) were debut albums that put the respective groups on the map. All three of these groups redefined their sound and advanced their groups to a new level with their next album. OutKast's ATLiens (ATLiens, Two Dope Boyz, Mainstream, Elevators, etc.)and the Beasties' Paul's Boutique were albums that propelled the groups to the success they have today.
Nappy's "Wooden Leather" isn't quite up to the level of those two aforementioned albums, but they do stay Nappy to their roots with this cut. Memorable cuts include Roun' the Globe, Good God Almighty, Work In Progress, and War/Peace. I guess what I'm trying to say is, that with OutKast, the Beasties, and Nappy Roots, is that changing a sound doesn't mean the band has "sold out" or gone awry; it just redefines them and makes them that much more talented. Po' Folks is my favorite Nappy Roots song, but Wooden Leather does not disappoint. Buy this album; you will most likely enjoy it.

4 out of 5 stars much better than watermelon, but theres better artists.......2004-06-24

i dont know what these other reviewers were thinking, but i suspect they are more into their commercial recycled BS than real hip hop. because thats the sort of thing that kind of fan would say when a group takes an already good sound, and spins it in an even better, more interesting direction.

watermelon was one of the only dirty south cds i like. i never really bought into the southern BS, cos thats what alot of i was...BS. but why did i dig nappy?? i dunno, it could be the fact that members reminded me of so many other artists (namely scarface, outkast, and one member of outlaws. dunno which one).

or maybe its because these guys arent obsessed with "rims", "B*tches" and "bling"...yeah i think thats it. too many artists are rapping over whack commercial beats about stupid subject matter. you cant rely on mainstream for alot these days. but you can rely on nappy. They dont conform, make music thats good to THEM and luckily the mainstream has enjoyed it at the same time. i say good work for nappy

to give you an idea how much this impressed me ill list a few artists i listen to: non phixion, mos def, diverse, mf doom, cannibal ox, the roots, arsonists, cage and non prophets. now if you cant say you recognise more than 3 of thise names, your probably a mainstream junkie, otherwise your probably an avid appreciator of hip-hop. thats what i am, and nappy roots still managed to hit a chord with me. and thats good in my books.

heres a rundown of the tracks:

into (3/5) its an into
good god almighty (4/5) interestign beat, i like it.
nappy roots day (5/5) love this beat, love the song
roun the globe (5/5) another top class beat, good subject matter
lac dogs and hogs (2/5) sorry. its clinical dirty south.
sick and tired (5/5) can relate to what they are saying. nice
twang (4/5) didnt liek at first, but tis an interesting beat
leave this mornin (5/5)this bassline carries me. i love it.
work in progress (5/5) LOVE this beat. good lyrics
push on (5/5) this basslien carries me aswell. meaningful song
no good (4/5) interesting beat.
these walls (3.5/5) not kanyes best beat, chorus a bit weak
war/peace (4/5) interesting song, love the beat
roll again (3.5/5) overall average song
what cha gonna do? (2.5/5) dont like it. whack beat.
light and dark (4/5) i like this. interesting
outro
roun the globe remix (2.5/5) why remix this song? it was perfect!

Watermelon Chicken & Gritz is a hard album to follow up but they did a good job at it.

Scandinavian Leather is rock & roll hedonism in its highest (i.e. lowest) form, combining the theatrics of Alice Cooper, the campiness of Queen, the degenerate glam of Motley Crue, and the urgent punk-rock spirit of the Ramones. Less punk than 1996's Ass Cobra and more rock than 1998's excellent Apocalypse Dudes, Scandinavian Leather is everything a proper rock album should be: there's pomp (strings pop up on "Wipe It `Til It Bleeds" and again on "Fuck the World"), shout-along anthems (check out the driving, fists-in-the-air chorus of "Remain Untamed"), and even the occasional, self-indulgent guitar solo. Songs like "Sell Your Body (To the Night)" and "Train of Flesh" are dark and seedy, but the danger is cartoonish. Fortunately, this bunch doesn't make music to be taken seriously; they make music that rocks. --Robert Burrow

Album Description

Long awaited 2003 album from the reunited Norwegian death punks. 13 tracks. Burning Heart.

5 out of 5 stars Turbonegro- A Nice, Not So Easy Listening.......2006-02-16

I've heard two of the tracks from "Scandinavian Leather"... "Sell Your Body (To the Night)" and "F*** the World". I found both of them amazing songs and I hope to buy the CD as soon as possible. If you like anything like CKY or Gnarkill, I think you'd enjoy this as well.

5 out of 5 stars THe best scandinavian leather.......2005-07-12

best cd ive ever bought. great songs and well lets face it turbonegro rocks. BUY IT AND U WIL LOVE IT!!! SO BUY THE FRICKEN CD ALREADY!!!!!!!

4 out of 5 stars The denim demons are back!.......2005-06-15

Although not totally expected, it's not a surprise this album came into existence. Turbonegro broke up right before the last album, "Apocalypse Dudes", was released stateside. That album was such a huge step up from "Ass Cobra" and such a tour de force, with it's over the top glam punk and tongue-in-cheek gay overtones, that US punk stardom soon followed. Of course not being there to receive it after years and years of playing together must have hurt. Quick reform and into the studio again and problem solved!

As expected, "Scandinavian Leather" doesn't touch the brilliance of "Apocalypse Dudes" but it's not that far behind. After the typical voiced over intro, this time an 80's Miami Vice theme, it kicks into a few of the more rocking cuts on the album. These definitely have the energy and hard rock swagger of earlier work. Where it falls a little flat is on some of the filler tracks like "Remain Untamed" and "I Want Everything". On the surface there's nothing really wrong with these songs but they don't bring quite the same level of outrageousness and rock n' roll bravado to the table as other cuts. Of course if this was any other band those would be their best songs!

Like their last record, there's a couple more note for note rip offs of Iggy & The Stooges riffs. One on the start of the "Sell Your Body (To The Night)" and the other at the start of "I Want Everything". I always like spotting these as I'm sure other fans do as well so they don't disappoint there.

One surprising cut was the poppy "Drenched In Blood (D.I.B.)" with a big sing-along chorus and a straightforward down stroke punk sound. I have to say it's one of my favorites even if it's not a typical Turbonegro song. They close out with a song sung entirely in French which is sort of fun and the "join the cause" themed "Ride With Us" complete with classic Turbonegro lyrics like "We're on a mission to destroy". What an interesting ride that would be!

So while this album doesn't quite hit their high water mark, it's still a great record. One that any Princes Of The Rodeo will surely give many listens. You just have to wonder whether this is the last stop on the rock n' roll train for Turbonegro. Hopefully not.

5 out of 5 stars The best of Turbo I've heard, hands down.......2005-03-13

I'm a Turbonegro fan ever since a friend a couple years ago sent me a tape of Apocalypse Dudes. (FYI - Rob Halford is the best Metal singer ever!) This is the 2nd album of TN that I have purchased. I must admit I have not heard any other TN albums besides this and Apocalypse, but I just want to say - yes, this was a huge departure from Apacalypse Dudes. When I first played it, I didn't know what to think. It has introduction music and it is just different in alot of ways. But it totally rocks. It is now my favorite TN album and I would highly reccomend it to anyone. I am purchasing this one, instead of Apocalypse, to give to my brother-in-law for his birthday. That is how much faith I have in this album. And while I am here, I am purchasing the other two TN albums that I do not own for myself. - Buy this with confidence.

5 out of 5 stars Superbo.......2005-09-27

This is probably the best glamrock album ever released. Very inspired by early Mötley Crüe though poppier and more catchy. If you are a rocker and are one album away from dying you should choose this album.

I would give this album 6 stars out of 5 if it was possible.
cheers;)

5 out of 5 stars Best underated band.......2004-03-12

This is one of my favorite album ever. The album is awsome from the beginning to the end. Very catchy songs, great remake of toast of the town from motley Crue, they did it the way it should have been done at first and I'm a big Crue fan. It's a must have for any glam rock fan.

5 out of 5 stars The classical music Claus?.......2004-06-24

I can't say anything bad about this album. It's definately a different approach to music than Claus's other work. His love of classical music is very evident on this one. Even though I don't listen to much classical music, I find this album to be beautifully done. I'm not sure it's even fair to label this as classical. It's much darker and more unique and powerful than most 'classical' music. There's no techno, no lyrics just a fantastic piece of music from beginning to end.

5 out of 5 stars Satanic Ecstasy..........2004-05-18

Most excellent ritual & dark meditation musick. This album could quite possibly be the theme score of The Satanist. From one song to the next, it does not falter one bit, but instead, continues with inspirational & impressive pieces that feeds the dark soul. This is timeless musick that will survive the ages.

No redundant monotones, no weaka garbage, & no pop-culture trash. This is purely black. There aren't even lyrics, which leaves the use of this masterpiece entirely up to the Individual. It WILL enhance your Magical workings, guarenteed.

There are horror-movie type of arrangements, erotic middle-eastern soundscapes, & just overall, ever-consuming PASSION behind it all.

With song titles such as "The Return Of The Evil One", "New Dark Ages", Leatherstrip certainly gives The Devil His due. In fact, all members of Leatherstrip are COS members, which comes as no big surprise, considering the degree of talent presented here.

Indeed, one could play this recording over & over again, back to back, & not easily tire of it. It magnifies that perfect diabolical mindset, conducive of all possibilities. Candles & incense go well with this opus. This is true atmospheric musick. Enjoy.

5 out of 5 stars One of the Greatest cd's ever........2006-12-26

This album was originally released in 89, and didn't sell super well, and thats a shame because these songs on the cd are great!!!. The Singers voice is great, the Guitarist puts modern guitarists to shame, and the drums and bass are invincible to age.

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful.......2006-12-02

There is not one track on this CD that is anything less than spectacular. It's my favourite album in my collection, rivaled only by Winger and KIX. Pretty Boy Floyd is amazing live, too. One of my favourite bands, and this CD deserves 6 stars.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome.......2006-10-28

This is in my top 2 albums of all time. If you liked the hair bands, aka Poison, Warrant, this is a must have. It is great from start to end. It is just a shame these guys did not get the respect they deserved. If you don't believe me, go to ebay and see how much this album still gets. It is like a cult favorite amongst the true hair band fans. A MUST BUY.

5 out of 5 stars FUN!!!.......2006-10-21

I may be into new age punk, but this is one of the greatest bands ever, get this cd before its completley unavailable, its got new tracks and the old ones, one of the greatest albums ever.

4 out of 5 stars Good time party rock 'n roll.......2006-08-21

Hmm...what to say about the band that stole their name from the canadian band that was known as Pretty Boy Floyd before this band existed?

Otherwise, I'd say this is a decent album for any glam fan out there. Nothing spectacular, but good stuff nonetheless.

5 out of 5 stars Beautiful Love Songs of the 80s.......2007-01-21

these 80s love songs are worth hearing again and again I strongly Recommend this CD to anyone who loves hearing love songs from the heart

5 out of 5 stars 80's power rock at its best........2007-01-19

As a fan of 80's heavy metal,I am familiar with the term, power ballad. This highly melodic, all power ballad light rock format has a great collection of songs. My favorite one on here was"Angel Eyes",but they are all good songs. This album showcases the adult contemporary side of these bands. It even includes the sappy,"Second Chance" from 38 Special. After hearing their more traditional southern based rock songs, you would'nt think they had it in them.Another track that stood out was "When I'm with you".The vocals on that song were great. The very end had some really high notes.Even Boston singers like Brad Delp and Fran Cosmo can't hit notes that high. This is a great album to own if you're a fan of 80's pop/adult contemporary music and particularly one hit wonders.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent.......2006-11-03

Excellent collaboration of the songs I enjoyed through my High School years, and still do today 20+ years later.

5 out of 5 stars 80's Greatest Rock HIts, Vol 5: From the Heart = Greatest album ever.......2005-09-02

I was a kid in the 80s with an older sister who was a teenager, so I feel in love with 80s music while tagging along with her. I found this album several years ago and fell in love with it right away. This is by far my favorite CD to listen to. If I don't know what I'm in the mood to listen to, I can ALWAYS put this in and be happy. My favorite song from the 80s is probably Angel Eyes by Jeff Healy Band. I love the way the song sounds, and have always wished to have someone sing something like that to me. But, every song on this album is great. I have never skipped any of the songs on it like I do other albums. Please buy this CD if you love 80s love songs. You will not regret it.

5 out of 5 stars Great CD.......2005-08-10

For anyone who grew up in the 80's, you MUST own this CD. Good times.

    Album Description

Claus Larsen, has now decided that there is no better time than Halloween to release Leather Strip's harshest and darkest tunes ever! "Be My Fetish" is definitely bound to become an instant hit rapidly dethroning his recent "Suicide Bombers" and his other "Walking on Volcanos" successes... With a straight EBM beat, dark themes, and a strong chorus, this new track comes is also as an extended perverted "Homemade Porn Mix" that will devastate many dancefloors!!!

Leaether Strip is on fire these days and also offers up this new mini-album full of the band's good old recipe for success: harsh distorted vocals, ripping bass lines and upbeat sequences. A storm of elektro assaults from the unexpected upgraded 2006 version of the stellar hit "Adrenalin Rush" to the frantic attack of "Manic Aggression" through "Punktured Eyeballs" which is probably the most terrific anger burst he has ever released. Covers of Marc Almond's "Tears Run Rings" and a surprising homage song to Fad Gadget with "Frank Tovey Taught Me Things" also make an appearance.
