Editorial Reviews

From the Artist
We are really excited to release our sophmore album "Full Moon Empty Heart". We hope you like it!

Product Description
The reverb drenched quartet can be distinguished by its melodic guitars, the lonely and distant sound of the lap steel, haunting violin, driving drums, and the strong heartbeat of the bass. This quartet further displays a unique sound with their guy-gal harmonies, bringing a powerful yet beautiful creation. 99 Tales' music, with its perpetual drive, infectious melodies, and minor chord obsession, display anthems of hope, tragedy, triumph, and despair. Comparisons have been made to X, Gun Club, Chris Isaac, The Pixies, The Sadies, Sixteen Horsepower, Tarnation, Yo La Tengo, Barbara Manning, and The Mermen.

Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Full Moon Empty Heart.......2004-01-24

This is a mellow version of Gary Morris. It has some great ballads, which is why we all listen to him. One fall is all it takes, it a great song with a lot of hidden meaning. Moosechin stew is a glimps into the lighter side of his work. The Man Upstairs, is a song with spirit and compassion. It's a nice album, if you're a Gary fan, this is one, you'll enjoy.
