    Album Description

The new single "Decent Days & Nights" is The Futureheads at the peak of their powers; a choppy, Clash-y classic whose brazenly hooky guitars and chant-like vocals belie the clever stuff going on just below the surface. The tight mesh of syllables words and occasional animal yelps, sure is an enthralling place to get lost in. Especially, as in this instance, when the words themselves seem precisely to be about losing your bearings in this world. "Decent Days & Nights" sports a driving riff powerful enough to loosen the stiffest of rock-necks, along with an irresistible sense of building euphoria. Their greatest strength lies in their utilization of voice as a distinct melodic instrument in a loud, often strident context.

    4 out of 5 stars Delightful..........2005-10-04

The powerful juggernaut of a single that was my initiation into their perfect punk-pop work. The "Decent Days & Nights" remix (track #2) is a questionable throwaway, but nothing can tarnish my love of this band - which seems to grow exponentially each day. "Boring the Children" is a truly adorable 80's reminiscent track. Do not miss this!
