Dont be a silly B*word.......2006-06-19

Yes this is bluegrass, yes this is a tribute, and yes its Blink 182 music! It's done incredibly well, I grew up in Missouri over-exposed to country and bluegrass and moved to central Florida which is a pretty decent sized "Punk scene", if you will. I have been hooked on Blink for many years and I think this is a great tribute, probably because it was the most unlikely style to pull it off. I like both genres, with a greater emphasis on punk and I must say for those giving this a bad review you shouldn't talk if you didn't buy it because that means you would have actually reviewed the CD, and if you did buy it then you really shouldn't complain because what did you think you were buying?

This is not a Blink 182 CD.......2006-04-06

This is a bluegrass CD. It is not by Blink 182 and it is not punk rock. So you can figure that if you don't like bluegrass, you won't like this CD.
Seriously, anyone giving this album a low rating because it doesn't sound like Blink 182 needs to be sterilized. Don't you know how tribute albums work? It's a DIFFERENT band, playing the songs a DIFFERENT way.

With that said, as a fan of both bluegrass and punk rock [and to a lesser extent, Blink 182], I really like this album. Familiar songs, catchy melodies, and incredible picking. The only BG tribute album I've heard better than this is the Jamgrass Tribute to Phish, which is a must-have and is the album to which I compare all other BG tributes.

An excellent tribute.......2006-01-05

This is a great take on Blink's songs. When I saw it I thought, "wow, this is gonna be stupid," but it really does work very well. Anyone here who says these guys aren't talented or think the music sucks just doesn't know what bluegrass is. This type of music is insanely difficult to play and I know because I've been playing guitar for 11 years. I highly recommend this for anyone interested in a different take on Blink 182's music.

Terrible Band.......2006-01-04

This band is terrible. If they had any talent at all they could write their own songs and wouldn't have to resort to "tricking you" into buying their CDs when you see them shelved under Blink 182 at the CD store. (I really wish stores would store these under a different section... Tributes, Parodies, whatever). The positive reviews below are most likely from friends and relatives of the band or the band itself. Beware!

Too funny..........2005-04-07

I feel this is a great CD just because it is funny. I think they did a great job covering Blink-182 songs. What most people that wrote these other reviews does not realize that this IS a Bluegrass tribute to Blink 182 meaning that these songs are going to be Bluegrass! Don't get me wrong I hate Bluegrass, I think it just sucks, and I'm a big Blink-182 fan, but I think this CD deserves a good rating just because its interesting and funny. I just think it is interesting to hear their songs played and sung in a different way.

This album is for the die hard blink 182 fan! it comes close to the band themselves! straight forwardly different takes on famous songs! the result... awesome! and even a few extra tracks at then end too that arnt blink variety, the spice of life!

this just sounds sooooooooooo bad. the guitar riffs and and drum lines are exact replicas of blink 182 and the singing is just horrendus.

A Tribute??? More Like a Bashing If You Ask Me..........2005-03-13

Um... okay, what is this? Honestly, it sounds like N*Sync trying to mimic blink-182. The instrumental part is just fine and sounds like the real songs, but the vocals are fatal. Perhaps if "various artists (like the description reads)" switched off on every other song or so, it would have been better... but I only hear one band covering the songs. Don't bother with this--it mocks blink's outstanding talent.
