Customer Reviews:
East Coast jam scene at its finest .......2006-05-09
yeP!onymous is a classic, eclectic record from one of the best bands who toured the same early 1990's jam band circuit that spawned the likes of moe., Phish, Shockra, God Street Wine, Aquarium Rescue Unit, Medeski Martin and Wood, Widespread Panic, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones...and on and on. No one could ever REALLY classify yeP!, and from the sounds of this album, it's obvious why. No Phish soundalikes here. From the balls out funk of Motha Funk In Soul to the classic ska stylee of Losing Count, to the beautiful jam epic Willow - which sounds as much like the sun coming out on a summer's day as anything I've ever heard - this well-respected band's debut effort is solid enjoyment from the first note through end of the hilarious bonus track.
