This is a very pleasing collection. Though I must say, based on the track listing, I was expecting to hear Strike and The Queen is Dead in their entirety. However Selby only reads a few pages from these stories. The CD is full of autobiographical material from the unfinished Seeds of Pain, Seeds of Love. A very intimate time with the great Hubert Selby, Jr.

The Best at the Game.......2002-01-12

Hubert Selby reads excerpts from his stories and novels. His voice gives an incredible strength to his already enormously beautiful work. This CD captures the true strength of Selby's prose. Selby himself also chats to the audience in some parts. Overall A terrific CD that is very highly recommended
