Buy this album and treat yourself to new and varied types of music you won't find on those "Regular" radio stations! This is the stuff your ears thank you for!! Maybe I'm being picky but this is a cool drink of water in a scorched wasteland of new music, and promise me this is NO mirage, this stuff is AWESOME!!!

Review of the Buy Indie Comp:
All in all, this tightly packed compilation is full of new, innovative artists. Satisfying music that will keep you spinning the CD over and over. These are the bands that push the culture of music forward! -- A few standouts are Purge d.i., Shadowpointe, Auratrona, and Heat.

Purge d.i. - This band sounds great and fresh, similar to Puya and Godsmack. I'm curious to hear more from them.

Shadowpointe - This band sounds like a mixture of everything that was "80's Metal", the track being "I Am The One". The production is to that of a "garage-demo", which is something I enjoy a lot with this type of music. It seems to fit today's standards of heavy rock.

Auratrona - Very dream-pop sounding, I enjoyed this track most of all. The singer is reminiscent of the guy from Spandau Ballet, but the music sounds like Coldplay. Very moody, atmospheric stuff.

Heat - He sounds so cool when he sings. He's very creative and FUN to listen to. I've heard his music a few times, and I enjoy it a great deal. If I find a CD of his sometime soon I will definitely buy it because its worthwhile music.

I'm VERY EXCITED to listen to the whole CD, all the bands sound, for lack of a better term, buzzworthy! <--check out my smile! Support indie music.

The Ultimate New Music Mixtape.......2004-04-10

I bought this CD with no prior knowledge of, really, any of the bands. At first, it seemed so varied that I wasn't quite sure what to think, but a few of the songs stuck out, like Timothy Dark's and Orsontrain's tracks. I would listen to these and the next song on the CD. Eventually, I realized that practically every song is, at least, above par. Buying a CD like this is a great way to discover new bands, so I cannot help but recommend it to everyone. There are, granted, a few tracks that I press skip on, but mostly it is very solid. I give it five stars based on how much I enjoyed some of the tracks, and as a way to get others, like you reading this, to purchase this album and try something new. I promise you won't regret it.

this compilation has a variety of different genres on it. and personally, i am into rock music, but i couldnt help but sing along and do a little dance to all the other types of songs. it honestly just ROCKS!
