Album Description

This 2 CD set contains 40 original recordings that inspired Elvis, many of which he later recorded himself, including Big Mama Thornton's 'Hound Dog', Arthur 'Big Boy' Crudup's 'That's All Right' and Wynonie Harris's 'Good Rocking Tonight'. The collection features many of the King's favorite gospel tunes along side classic country, blues, and rock'n'roll from the artists that shaped his sound including The Drifters, Hank Williams & Dean Martin. The third DVD (Pal/Region 0) contains and interview Elvis recorded at The Empire Stadium, Vancouver, on August 31st 1957, a few weeks before 'Jailhouse Rock' was released. Secret Records Lmtd. 2005.
