Editorial Reviews

Product Description
Deep into an artistic odyssey that has garnered widespread critical acclaim, the Slow Jets offer "Remain in Ether," their third and most artistically ambitious album to date. With signature sloping vocals, harmonic and arching guitars, the Slow Jets modulate a million molecular mood swings, culminating in the type of textured song writing that makes this album a perpetual replay candidate. Greg Preston fronts the effort via his perpetually off-kilter, idiosyncratic vocals, matched by drummer Marc Berrong’s equally dynamic back beat, and rounded out with Tim Baer’s seamless additions of bass, guitar and ethereal backing vocals. Defined as much by a sonic dualism that finds morbid guitar riffs transformed into a multi-layered cosmic chorus, the Slow Jets offer a wide ranging palette of musical twists and turns that is sure to make this record a neo-classic.

5 out of 5 stars Baltimore's gift to music........2004-05-01

This band just keeps getting better. Their second album, Good Morning Stars, continues to blow me away on so many different levels. I was concerned that Remains in Ether would not stand up to Good Morning Stars because the second album is just that good. And then the band went and did it again. This album has more hooks than Joe Frazier. You can't comprehend the depth of this album with just one listen. Run it back and play it again and again. This album is the rare great follow up to a great follow up. Buy it.
