Editorial Reviews

Product Description
With some of the top names in the Murfreesboro and Nashville music scenes, Murfreesboro In The Mix: Volume 1 is designed to give the average listener a look into the many bands that make up the Murfreesboro scene, as well as to give the dedicated fan an album that showcases their favorite local artists. As a result of Middle Tennessee State University's Recording Industry program, musicians from far and wide have made Murfreesboro their home and in the process created a diverse and budding music scene. The idea for the compilation came about when two members of the Murfreesboro band SOON, Asheley Jameson and Bradley White, began to notice the abundance of bands within the area. In fact, it seemed that there were almost too many groups for music fans to possibly know about. By releasing Murfreesboro In The Mix, the two hope to increase attendance at concerts of local artists as well as increase awareness and appreciation of the impressive music scene Murfreesboro! has to offer.

4 out of 5 stars Murfreesboro here I come...........2005-10-13

This cd has a lot going for it. It contains some great tracks from some great bands. The nice thing about this cd, is that it covers every genre. It really is just like listening to a mix tape. Stand out tracks include "Waiting on my friends" by danovo dahl and "Shine" by intrinsic. Check this one out.

5 out of 5 stars I'm hooked.......2004-07-05

This is a perfect diverse sound to accompany when I drive and get tired of radio commercials. I really love the 'mix'! I give it a thumbs up and a strong buy.

Murfreesboro In The Mix is the first Yayo Records release-more info on the label can be found at www.yayorecords.com.

Some of the 14 artists on the album include up and coming Murfreesboro band Carolina Avenue-Grammy Showcase Award winner, Big Fella-[Flash] Magazine's best band in Murfreesboro Intrinsic-and Spout which features the winner of Nashville Scene's "best vocalist in Nashville" award.

Do yourself and the Murfreesboro, TN music scene a favor and order a copy.

And of course we gave it 5 Stars...we put it out. Peace-Brad and Ashe.

A great sample of some of the musical talent coming out of Murfreesboro, TN. It's got rock, rap and everything in between. I was honestly surprised at how good this CD is. Buy it!
