One of the great singer-songwriter albums, with a much cleaner sound than on JW's debut (produced by Robbie Robertson) and a determined, against-the-odds optimism (as the title suggests). Some of the lyrics go over the edge into cute (the business about tickling the world's belly button), but not many. Jesse's voice is lovely. Note that Amazon's song list here leaves off the concluding song, All of Your Stories, which is definitely one of JW's most beautiful. And that's saying a lot.

Haunting Lyrics.......2006-10-01

The first five songs here have some of the most haunting and simple and spirited lyrics written. Music has great melodies, but the lyrics are special. First got this one in 1972. "if the wheel is fixed, I will still take the chance... when you're skating on thin ice, then you might as well dance."

interesting classical music collection..........2004-12-16

This is an interesting classical music collection that is as their personal favorites. My personal faves are by Manuel De Falla (selected by Steven Tyler), a Mozart piece (Keith Richards), Benjamin Britten (Paul McCartney) and Modest Mussorgsky (Trevor Rabin). It includes a 12 page booklet written by Boston DJ Carter Alan with quotes from each musician on why they choose what they did. The other musicians who picked their favorites include Bruce Hornsby, Elton John, Brian Wilson, Marianne Faithful, Michael Stipe, Bono and Frank Sinatra.

Fantastic Classical Compilation.......1999-12-24

This is one of the best classical compilations around - and these are the pieces that inspired other musicians. Rock musicians at that. Lots of good stuff here, including a heartrending rendition of Sposa son Disprezzata, sung by Cecilia Bartoli. Great fun.

american hardcore yah!!!.......2001-06-15

this band is not one to be messed with, true american hardcore, that i'll slap you in the face and make you think twice. compares to the boston usa's Ten Yard Fight, and the Chain of Strength from california usa. this makes mosh happen yah!! sxe true till death, for sure.

110% better than the fisrt album.......2000-09-22

After I heard Few and Far Between I thought that Count Me Out could do no better. They made a phenomenal jump from thier demo to first album in terms of actual sound quality of the album and content. I was quite amazed at the time at how good of a record a band this small (at the time) could put out.

But, upon hearing 110 for the first time (no pun intended) I was equally blown away at the improvement Count Me Out had made. The sound quality and production are outstanding. Lead singer Jason Mazzolla puts on his angriest voice ever and rips through each song like it were the most powerful on the album. A cleaner and newer rendition of "What We Built" is included on 110, but you wouldn't even notice that you'd heard it before on Few and Far Between. The title track ("110") may be the best song on the album, but it has lots of competition; all of the tracks, save the instrumental, are sing-along-friendly and very danceable. Even the layout is pretty good. Kinda artsy though, if you're into that.

There are ten songs including one instrumental and most are relatively short (the shortest, and angriest, song is about 40 seconds). I couldn't stop listening to this album for a long time and ended up buying both the record and cd version (they are identical). Count Me Out's switch to Indecision Records was a good move and has benefit them well.

You've heard it before, but it's true : If you liked the first album, you'll like this one too. Late.

This album is updeat, soulful, and just good ole down-home fun. I think everyone should be a Radio Nationals fan, whether it's country, rock, or plain old pop that drives your love for music, this is an album you must hear. These guys have taken the soul that country lost and combined it with a rockin beat and gituar rifts that everyone can appreciate. This is what music should be all about, and you should all be part of it.

Every song on Radio National's Exit 110 packs a punch! Each guitar riff strikes at gut level and I love it! Jared's voice reaches out and smacks every one of my ex-boyfriends so that I don't have to. And, these guys are as tight live as they are on this CD. I find myself cranking the volume up to drown out my own voice. But, you can't keep from singing along to this one so don't fight it. The best thing about this CD is that the second it ends, I want to hear it again.

Or do anything to. You will find yourself tapping your foot or bouncing your knee, whatever you happen to do when you hear a rockin' song. This cd is filled with 5 very tight songs. The drums lay the backbone of this melodic masterpiece, while the guitarist-well he just rocks. Of course, it wouldn't all come together without the vocals and the actual song writing you find on this CD. This band is super tight live, fun bar-type, cow-punk. Yet the CD recording really brings out the twangy soul of the writing. Definitely a title to check out.
