Formed in 1996, REST IN PEACE is a Progressive heavy-metal band from Grenoble, made of five musicians that had before worked in numerous local line-ups (ARCHANGE, HEADWAY, SERIAL KILLERS, PRIDE, ELYPSE, DEEKINZ…). Their music proves to be as refined as melodious, and shows remarkable professionalism and style. Recorded in 2003, "Evilution" is already a serious competition for each time more perfect Anglo-Saxon line-ups. Here is a very interesting work, from beginning to end. An album that you shouldn't leave at the far end of your CD-collection !

GOOD, BUT...................................2002-04-22

Alright, this album was released at the same time as the Virus. The Virus has the recorded live set, with half of the songs on the Evilution album. The Lab-4 album, Yoji in the Mix, has half of the Evilution songs on them as well. There are a couple songs that aren't on the other two albums, but it's not worth buying this album just to get them. Also, the first song called Dirty Harry, isn't even there type of style. It's some wierd vocal song, that I had to skip right to the next song because it was getting annoying. This album does have their good songs on it as well, like "Concept of Love", "F8", and "The Witch". I would recommend buying the Virus album first, and if you like the way Lab-4 sounds, buy the Yoji in the mix album next.

this 2nd release from the billygoat's is even more crappy than their first! which means better! crappy is always better in my book. evilution is overall a stronger effort from billygoat and rocks on and on for all the masses to deficate on! they put benatar to shame on "hell is for children"!!! they put some balls into this song like never done before! truly a fixture for all metal heads out there and all this with an over the top sense of humor and stage show to go along with it! check it out!

Metal for the Satanist with a Sense of Humor.......2003-12-26

I've seen Rosemary's Billygoat in concert twice and enjoyed both shows. After the second one, I decided to purchase this CD and was not disappointed. This CD manages to successfully capture the energy and power of their life shows. The first six tracks are particularly strong. The song "665 1/2" is the most representative of the band's style and humor. Also, they really put the boots to "Hell Is For Children," and take it to a completely different level than the original. I found this release to be better than almost any other metal I've heard in this decade. Highly Recommended!

Unrealised.......2005-12-12

This had potential, good name, good packaging, decent sound and with Andy La Rocque on guitars, but it falls into an industro syncopated kind of nothing music rather than any of the band member's traditional strengths. I was hoping for some King Diamond like material with a 'normal' vocalist, but this seems like it is more of a Snowy Shaw (drums) project as he writes at least half the songs and it shows.
The vocals are...varied, sorta germanic/swedish accented shouts and shrieks, but with a couple of songs showing some good vocal melodies similar to Rob Halford, but not as strong.
A couple of reviews have compare this to halford's Fight project, and as god awfull as that was (from what I heard on the radio at the time), Illwill is along those lines, chaotic crunchy groove noise.
Not really worthy, but I can say there are 3 good songs on this. They need to wear more clothes and try harder.

Andy La Rocque & the King Diamond Guys Rule!.......2002-04-05

This CD is really good. The production is excelent. The songs are good. And, the musicianship and vocals are awesome! It was better then I expected and is one of my favorite CDs now! Everybody who has heard it wants to buy it from me!
