New Creation Music, Volume One

About the Artist
Greetings! I hope you enjoy the music I have written. You might notice that the production is a little "rough around the edges"! That's because I have not recorded this music professionally in a studio. Also, I do not consider myself to be a strong lead vocalist. It is my dream that someday I will find a strong lead vocalist and other band members to help make these songs more marketable, but in the meantime, think of these songs as rough drafts -- initial renderings which are still very much a work in progress! I welcome your critique and suggestions.

I have been writing original Christian music since 1981. I literally performed my first Christian song the same day I became a born again Christian! Since then I've composed dozens of songs, but never did any kind of recording. Soon after the 911 attack on America, I was laid off and had some time to take the first step toward recording. Using Sonic Foundry's Acid Music software to "fill in" the parts, I completed 17 songs in two months and over 25 to date.

I am currently serving as Worship Leader at Abundant Life Pentecostal Church of God in Santa Paula, CA. Previous to that, I served at Valencia Hills Community Church in Valencia, CA. Previous to that, I served at New Creation Christian Assembly in San Marcos, CA as their worship leader for five years. It was there that I played guitar and sang all my original songs along with the ACID music trax.

On a musical note, I graduated from State University of New York with a Bachelor of Arts in Music in 1983. I play an Ibanez Artstar semi-hollow jazz guitar (George Benson style) for most of my music, but also use a 1954 mahogony Martin OO-14 for acoustic work and an Ibanez solid body for my rock songs. I also do all my own harmonies. I play bass on the church worship team and keyboards on some of the more recent recordings.

I have posted my songs on IUMA, MP3, Amazon, Vitaminic, ShareSong, ChristianMP3, AcidPlanet, CDStreet, CDReview, Broadjam, IndieWave and many others.Recently, I founded New Creation Music, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging aspiring Christian artists by providing quality original material if needed, recording and production services and promotion via internet exposure and local performance opportunities. All proceeds from the sale of NCM compilation CDs are used for the manufacture and distribution of new CDs featuring our artists' music.
