Customer Reviews:
Don't waste your money - skip this CD.......2004-10-20
I bought this CD because I remember going to clubs in the late 80's and dancing to Sinitta's cover of "Right Back Where we Started From" and had been looking for it for a long time. When I found it on this CD, I ordered it. When I got the CD, I saw on the back of the cover that "this compilation contains new stereo recordings performed by the featured artists...". If I had known this, I would never have ordered this CD. I even doubt that these are new recordings by the original artists and wonder if they are not "sound-alike" artists. The "new" versions of the Kim Carnes, Irene Cara, Charlene, A Taste of Honey and Berlin songs are completely unlistenable. It has been years since I have heard the Sinitta song which was my reason for buying the CD, but it still does not sound the same as I remember and can only assume that it is not the original version since none of the other songs are. In short, don't waste your money, skip this travesty. My true rating for this would have been a negative rating, but the lowest you can give is 1 star.
