This is a hauntingly beautiful CD to put you in a relaxed and peaceful state. It is chant, hum and groove. Even my teenage nephews get quiet and meditative when it's playing in the car!

Angelic music.......2007-03-02

There are some artists that define a certain style of music. Hendrix, Stevie Ray, Allison Krauss, Santana, and many others. In Christian music Nicole Nordeman really stands out. Her music is so beautiful, her lyrics are really moving and spiritual, and her voice------what can I say? It transports me. I listen to this CD over and over, and it never fails to move me. I have a multi-CD changer in my truck, and this CD is always in it. We so often are not what we should be, but Ms Nordeman reminds me that it's ok. We are not loved for our performance, we are simply loved.

Love this CD. It is in my CD player most of the time these days. If you've ever seen Nicole Nordemann in person, you need this CD. If you haven't seen her -- get a ticket! Ms. Nordemann is very talented, and she has a wonderful heart!

I Adore This Woman's Voice.......2006-12-29

This album is often likened to her previous 'This Mystery,' which probably explains my affinity for it. Til now, This Mystery has been a stand alone favorite by her. With Woven & Spun, I find a delightful return to lyrical substance and the voice that haunts. Even my husband listened to the whole thing WITHOUT me around, and that says something; he does not share my taste for Christian music.

This is the first Nicole Nordeman CD that I have bought. It is very good.

I was familiar with the songs 'Holy' and 'Legacy' before. Both are fantastic. In addition to those, there are several other very good songs on this CD. Nicole has a beautiful voice that she combines with compelling lyrics and a strong Christian message. Another song that I particularly like here is "I Am" which really speaks to the way that God is with us all the time -through good times and bad.

Although this is my first CD of hers, it won't be the last. I really recommend this both in terms of message and sound.

No Doubt, one of the best Contemporary Christian recordings..........2005-09-07

I have allof Nichole's albums, but her latest one "Brave", and although all of her work is always beautiful, thoughtful, haunting, and wonderfully and refreshingly very Christian, this work is undoubtedly her best.

What sets this apart from her other recordings for me, is that in "Wide Eyed", her style wasn't quite as developed, and her voice wasn't as rich as it is now, although the song-writing was top-notch.! In "This Mystery", it has some wonderful lyrics and singing, but some of the songs sound to typical of Contemporary Christian music to me. And with "Woven and Spun" all these elements were gone, leaving only the beautiful and most flawless music I've heard in a long time. The song-writing is top-notch, the lyrics are amazing and awe-inspiring, the vocals are georgeous, and her piano playings takes the forefront on many of the songs, which really gives her own own flavor that is unique and distinctive to her music.

Personally, my favorite tracks on this record are:

Track 1, Holy: A beautiful picture of a woman giving her life to the Lord.

Track 2, Mercies New: A beautiful picture and true example of God's mercies...

Track 3, Healed: My ABSOLUTE favorite on the disc, it gives a very poetical example of what God did on the cross, and how he heals our pain with his wounds, and changes us from within, conforming us to his image.

Track 6, In Your Eyes: The best cover of Peter Gabriel's classic I've ever heard, turning it into a Christian classic. :D

Track 9, Take me as I am: A beautiful picture of how the Lord takes us just as were, he washes our past away and makes us new.

Well, truth be told, there's NOT a single bad track here, their ALL georgeous, these are just my "personal" favorite's, no doubt you'll have you're own favorite's, but I hope this inspire's you to listen to Nichole Nordeman, and seek out the truth and word of the Lord.

I got this mix back in 2003...its still bloody top notch. The track selection and sequence is a brilliant concoction of MC vocal tracks, smooth R&B vocals, old school classic cuts and bang-on contemporary choons. The track i fancy most is "Flava For Rava"...

Good- Not His best.......2006-07-27

Some good tracks, I'm partial to #4 with Skibadee. I still say that Takeover Bid is his best. If you're new to jungle, or you have heard parts of this cd, Check out that cd instead. The difference between that old blue cd and this one is continuity. That cd flows brilliantly from one track to the next without one dull moment, whereas in this cd the tracks seem more isolated and, in my opinion, has some subpar choices. But if you you already have that other one and can get this for only a few bucks, go for it.

Good Mix CD.......2004-06-18

(First off. I have had the album for a while, but I just wanted to leave some advice to those who haven't.)

I felt this was a good mix effort by Aphrodite - who is called the king of jumpup drum and bass.

Even though he is a great producer of orginal music, this is a good, fast-paced album.
The placement of the songs on the album also flows very naturally, something that doesn't always happen on a mix album.

My favorite track has to be:
"Flava for Rava" with 3 MC's on it - MC Shabba, MC Fearless, and MC Det. It is a worldwind of rhymes.
Also has the classic old school jungle track "Orginal Nuttah" by Shy FX and UK Apache. (A must listen, if you haven't before.)

Overall, I would say -- this album is a good buy if you are into the genre of drum and bass.

For Igby, a modern teen shackled with the type of jaded cynicism perfected by Holden Caulfield, truly dysfunctional relationships taint his life's riches. Igby's stellar songs, haunted by vague notions of discontent, soundtrack his angst. Even little-known cuts by Underwater Circus and Driftland, along with three melancholy score selections, take on rueful tones. Wish I had a profound and novel review to give about this movie. But simply put, it is one of my favorites. Great storyline, and stellar performances, especially by Kieran Culkin. Watch the ending scene with his mother and tell me you don't cry. A must have for any movie collection.

The soundtrack album is actualy a european version where the music in the movie is slightly different. It's an excellent compilation including Travis`version of "the weight" and europe's most recent rock breakout "underwater circus"! Higly recommendable.

As one of the better soundtracks to come out in the recent past, the tracks fit well in the movie and they fit even better on a CD of their own. Established artists Travis, Coldplay, Beta Band, Dandy Warhols, and Badly Drawn Boy put in appearances with lesser-knowns and soon-to-be-knowns that are just as good. The collection of indie pop mixes upbeat and downer songs in just the right balance to fit any mood and any day. The Dandy Warhols Bohemian Like You rocks you and Beta Band shines in Broken Up A Ding Dong, my two favorite cuts. But all in all, a stable mix of excellent performances that perfectly compliments an excellent movie.

One night while looking for moe. and string cheese cd's on here I stumbled across keller williams' spun. I read a few reviews, listened to some samples and decided....eh, what the heck, I'll buy it. It's been about 2 months since that night and now I own every cd but dance. Thank you, to whoevers reviews I read that night. I don't know how this guy has been hiding, he's amazing. To anyone who is considering buying keller for the first time I just can't express to you how important it is that you buy this cd.
