The perfect MBM.......2002-05-18

This is very trippy and very industrial. This is a good find for someone looking for new old music. Like most industrial music of the late 80's and early 90's, MBM's AAW was way to hip for it's time. If you're really lucky you might find an album called "Storm the Studio". If you like AAW, get Storm the Studio. The mixes are pure genius.

A strong first effort.......2000-01-14

Meat Beat Manifesto's first album was lost in a studio fire, and the remainder of what was salvaged was pieced together into Armed Audio Warfare. It's certainly an entirely different entity than anything they did afterward, with the majority of the material (especially the inclusion of the "Suck Hard" EP) being immersed in a deep haze of feedback and noise. The same element of white-boy hip hop that can be found on their mid-later period works (Satyricon, 99%) is in full effect, only worse production and a lot more distortion. The sampling gets out of hand at times ("Mr. President") but for the most part this is a vivid representation of the furore of their early stages. Supposedly their live shows used to be so loud they cleared rooms, and if it sounds anything like "Kneel and Buzz" with the volume loud, it's understandable!

Nice collection of Early MBM.......1999-10-14

This is, in essence, the first MBM album ever realeased. It's pretty good, but it has it's weak points. The quality of the album is pretty sub par. It sounds like it was recorded onto a tape that went through the washing machine. But once we get past that, it's awesome. Songs like "Kneel and Buzz", "Give Your Body It's Freedom", and "Kick that Man" are an audio assault for the ears. Great album, but not recommended for first time listeners.
