the jinx motive debut cd is a true music journey of rythmic porportions. laced with intense bass cuts and smooth vocals, this cd is manditory for your collection!!! even the track layout flows with style and poise. methinkswhat, huh guys!!!!

Upon first hearing the Motive, I was truly amazed... four musicians, totally in tune with each other mentally, throwing out waves of music that weaved and pulled me to a new sonic epiphany. Taking influences from jazz, rock, funk, and even some of the "hippie jam band scene," these guys blow the roof off the sucka! The opening tune on the disk, "Jinx Anthem", gets you off to a rolling start with some catchy hooks and cool grooves. On from there the disk rises and falls with each tension soaked note. Through the beauty of "San Leandro" to the fast paced "get up and dance" atmosphere of "Rumple", and then reaching a climactic high through the epic ambience of "Butterfly Moon," this music reaches across boundries. Without a doubt, The Jinx Motive gives the listener the opportunity to sit back, tilt ones head.. give a smug look, and nod with agreement that this band is where it's at.
