Editorial Reviews
Full Stop reflects some of the areas I have both actively and indirectly exploring for the past 10 years. I conceived each piece with both a particular acoustical concept as well as an emotional center associated with it: all are concerned with my ongoing struggle against time. As such they may be best approached as stills from a film as opposed to strict compositions.
Product Description
Known to many as a percussionist who has associated with Henry Kaiser, Bill Laswell, Fred Frith, Bob Ostertag, Elliot Sharp, Bobby Previte, and numerous other icons from the downtown scene, NYC-based composer and multi-instrumentalist Charles K. Noyes has handed in a stunning slate of breathtaking new sounds (in a gorgeous full-color package) culled from the past decade's work. You probably recognize his name from memorable contributions to numerous compilation albums State of the Union (reissued by Atavistic, 1996) and Island of Sanity: New Music from New York City (No Man's Land, 1987), for example that form the cornerstone of any respectable avant garde music library.

Get "Shadowed".......2005-04-09
Getting to his CD, people have the misconception that all of the music on the CD is depressing. But the reality is, songs like the one on "Shadowed" are coming from the heart and can't be put in some `pop' or bubbly format that we hear a lot in mainstream media. It feels good to connect to some of the songs that are on the album and know someone is singing the similar things I went through. I would describe how I connect to every song, but I want to keep this short. There are times where I connect really deep with the song and sometimes I listen to the music itself. He writes and composes his own stuff and find that amazing. There is so much heart behind every note he plays and every word he sings.
So check out his site: sachasacket.com and get "Shadowed"
Oh, I can't wait to get a car and drive to "Kite High!" near the lake in Milwaukee.

A Remarkable Man & Artist..........2005-03-17
Sacha Sacket's new 'Shadowed' album delves down into secret places the haunted tread. He sings of unrequited love (a popular theme throughout the disc), addiction, the dark places we all fall from time to time, and somehow, through the desperation and desolation, he lets you know that even still, he's a man who will no doubt emerge changed and better for it all. This is a lush and exquisite album, marked by his piano driven melodies and his gorgeous, anguised baritone. His voice on this album drips with something visceral, a real kind of pain. On the album's closer 'Palestine', when he sings "I don't have to be the white knight/I don't have to give the good advice/I don't have anything left to fight/It's true" with his beautifully wavering voice, it's as if he's seen too much, and just before throwing in the towel, he realizes he doesn't have the be the fighter anymore, but just accept whatever's coming his way. He's been called a "male Tori Amos" but I'd say (to me) he's more a "male Sarah McLachlan". But then, Sacha Sacket can really draw no true comparisons. He's his own man, and his own artist. It's a beautiful and bewildering world, but music like his makes it worthwhile. And we're all the better for listening...
Also, look for his debut, 'Alabaster Flesh' and visit his site for more information on him. www.sachasacket.com

Album Description
The traditional flute music on this release offers both spirituality and healing brought forth by the "Old Ones", those who have walked before us. As a Native American, Mark shares a very special bond with wolves and this music is dedicated to them and to all living things past and present in the universe. The music is a tribute to the wolves of Wolf Mountain Sanctuary in California and all other four-leggeds and winged ones.Customer Reviews:

Product Description
From the longing ache of Tara Leigh Cobble's "Quiet Love Song" (which she sings a capella) to the gritty edge of "Damage," her voice runs the gamut with precision. Sonically, she brings to mind artists like Sheryl Crow and Natalie Merchant, but she paints her lyrics with the ease and depth of David Wilcox and Patty Griffin. In "Back When (You Used To Adore Me)," there is an honest brokenness: Your words were always starting things / That your heart was never finishing / You used to stand so close to me / Back when /... And I've wasted years trying to get back to "back when.""Things You Can't Stop With Your Hands intentionally spreads itself across the genre-boundaries, and Tara Leigh handles the transitions with ease. It's fitting, given that the album itself is loosely built around the idea of change. "When I started working on this album, my family was in the midst of losing their land to a new highway, and my friend was in the midst of a divorce," she says. "So my mind was wrapped up in all these things that are beyond our control - from hardships like death and unrequited love to the beauty of redemption or one of those unexpected 'perfect days.' I tried to reach deep into those moments of uncertainty, surrender, and ultimately... joy." Even detached listeners will recognize their own stories on "Things..." and reach a little deeper too.

Album Description
"No one listens to an Ad Frank CD to hear about him getting lucky," one of his fans was overheard saying. From his past releases people expect Ad Frank to wallow in self-pity and self-loathing, albeit with a sense of black humor. So what's a fan to expect when hearing the lighthearted "Dumb Trilemma" or the upbeat "Girls as Sharp as You are Something Rare" from his third solo album, In Girl Trouble? Don't worry, there's still plenty of melancholy to go around on this follow-up to the acclaimed Mr. Fancypants (the CD is entitled In Girl Trouble after all), but this time Ad's managed to have a little fun too. "When I set out to write the songs for In Girl Trouble, I decided that I wasn't going to make another album that was brooding or self-pitying," says Ad, "I thought I succeeded, but after I first played the songs with my new band, The Fast Easy Women, I stopped for a minute and said, 'These songs aren't dark enough,' the band just burst into laughter." The band can be forgiven for laughing at the fact that songs like "Jet Aircraft" with its lamenting chorus of "I lost my love and no one's going to love me again" or the dour, "I hope for more than I can give back/Something fine in me has died," from the otherwise upbeat "You Have Murdered Something Fine in Me" weren't dark enough. And then there's the opening line from "Goodbye Cruel Girl": "One subway ride and a clearing out of my bank account/I leave all of this and forget what all of the fuss was about." Fans needn't worry that Ad's completely changed his attitude, it's just that now he's a little more well-adjusted.Customer Reviews:
