Over the past 18 months After The Fall have become one of Australia's most promising Rock N' Roll bands. Their self titled debut album was released no less 13 months ago and the band have hardly left the road since it's release (apart from when they hit the air for a brief stint in the US in March 2005). Indeed constant touring and an unquestionable work ethic has seen After The Fall go from strength to strength. The first single 'Mirror Mirror' from the debut album has grown to be a festival favorite and the band cemented great relationships at media over 2004. Vandross inspires love, warmth, and sensuality........1999-06-06

Luther Vandross's renditions of these old favourites so masterfully presented, with his beautiful, all encompassing, and soul tingling voice has to be the most beautiful compilation of love songs I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. I have not been able to remove from it from the stereo, it goes where I go; from my home to my car and back again.

When Mr. Vandross sings, the mastery of his prensentation of lyrics to the listener is an art expressed only in a way he can, in a word, incomparable. He has tremendous range and an exceptionally smooth voice. Mr. Vandross has truly demonstrated his star quality and earned his stripes in the past 2 decades; and for those who beleive in a higher power, one may say that he is truly blessed with a incredibly beautiful voice, and an oh so special cummunicative style, that is unmistakably his own.

Luther romances me every time he sings. He is blessed with the knowledge and wisdom of knowing a woman's most inner soul and his voice touches every nerve until you are totally into HIM. A memento of a productive partnership........2001-11-19

EMI commemorate in this double CD a remarkable partnership in the C20th world of music. It began in Berlin in 1926. It had been 20 years since Franz Lehar's "Die lustige Witwe" became the light opera that everyone wanted to see. In places like Beunos Aires it had run simultaneously in five theatres in five different languages. Lehar's subsequent productions had met with diminishing success. His latest light opera, "Paganini", which contained some of his best music, had flopped at its Vienna premiere. Nervous and dispirited as its Berlin premiere drew near, Lehar wrote to the tenor Richard Tauber, "You must sing in Berlin, a second flop is inconceivable for me. I'm suddenly afraid of everything to do with the theatre - I'm getting old".

Tauber obliged. The Berlin production was a resounding success, Tauber sometimes being required to repeat "Gern hab' ich die Frau'n gekusst" as many as five times. Lehar admitted, "Richard, during this moment I have been born again as an artist!" And so began a great final flowering of Lehar theatre productions, all featuring the Austrian tenor Richard Tauber.

Fortunately the Lehar-Tauber association resulted in an extensive series of recordings, in many of which Lehar conducts the orchestra. EMI began issuing a collection of them towards the end of the LP era, and now, in 2001, they are collected onto this double CD. I read the claim that a great many of the tracks appear on CD for the first time, but here in Australia most have already been available on CD.

I don't always find Tauber unexcelled in this repertoire, preferring other tenors sometimes and their recordings. Several of the "Paganini" recordings were made before the Berlin season opened. Tauber and his then wife Carlotta Vanconti sound as though they are sight-reading unfamiliar music. I once possessed several of the "Das Land des Lachelns" items on 78s. The 1929 sound seemed robust and full then, but seems sadly emasculated here.

Tauber, I believe, somehow had the secret of touching the hearts and minds of all who listened to his singing - composers, colleagues, chancellors and charwomen. This comprehensive and well-planned issue will ensure that his work with the Hungarian composer Franz Lehar will continue to charm and delight.

Solid Australian Attack.......2007-04-23

Having caught these chaps live supporting the Darkness where they won over the crowd I had to check out some recorded wattage. And Always Forever Now is pretty consistent stuff. There is a range of influences at work, a bit of alt rock, some university student rock stylings and the kind of simple arrangements that roar in a small pub style venue. This is a band with the back room bars and small clubs or Australia firmly in their sights.

The delivery is insistent with nary a let up though the somewhat poppier high end jingly jangly guitar elements provide a lightening touch, sort of a counterpoint to the thud of the percussive attack. Much of the vocal work is delivered at a yell in the yob rock tradition though it's not beer soaked or anything totally low brow and is totally appropriate for the songs.

Lyrically the concerns are fairly stock standard stuff - these guys aren't going to write an Australian Bohemian Rhapsody or the next Dream Theatre album. But they do fit the music and the chorus work is strong.

While I can't see this album getting much of a toe hold internationally it is a good, solid and reliable album of alt-rockers perfect for every backyard BBQ on a lazy Sunday afternoon, the perfect soundtrack to throwing a few more shrimps on the barbie - actually Australians call them prawns trivia lovers....

An innocent and carefree four stars as long as you approach it for what it is.

This album is sort of hard rock/punk and yet has a unique sound so doesn't quite fit these genre's, concrete boots is porbably the most radio friendly track but peronally I like "Fighter" and "Free yourself" which are reasonably heavy yet not hard, and very catchy. One for fans of punk/emo alternative type music.

the song now always and forever is really good. ihavent heard the other songs. im so glad these guys are making more good tunes cause they are a good group. i dont know if the single will be on an album or what. you should probably just download the song instead of wasting the money for just the one song. unless you are rich. then just buy it who cares.

I've had the good fortune to both see Amo perform live and to listen to his music in the comfort of my home. I happened to walk into a bar by chance, but spent the next two hours watching this wonderful performer belt out his orignals and his stylized covers. His passion and his earnestness are endearingly captivating, and he has a unique voice and style that sets him apart from the many potential stars. He is able to sing both soulful ballads and fastpaced songs without missing a beat. A musician to watch out for - I hope he is able to find ways to reach larger audiences. Thats all a rare talent like his really needs to find fame.

This CD does justice to the wonderful live shows that this young musician puts on at bars across the country. Great album, in a world where music is becoming cookie cutter, Amo is one of those rare artist who does it his way. A great live performer, plays his own songs and does super covers of Springsteen, Cat Stevens, U2, just to name a few. "One Night Stand" and "A Little bit of everything" are great up tempo songs, of which you wont be able to stand still as you listen to. Buy this CD, you will not be disappointed.
