Danielle LoPresti and the Masses have it all.......2001-12-28
This CD is filled with passionate, intelligent songs that range in style and temper and truly display the immeasurable talents of Danielle LoPresti. Her song writing skills have been honed considerably, and she seems to have discovered that truth makes great music. The arrangements are bold, challenging, and masterfully executed by the session musicians on the tracks, and I am glad to report that the band she has put together for the live shows goes well beyond meeting the challenge. These incredible artists have taken an already intense group of songs and built on them so that every note is meaningful and simply great. Get this CD. See her shows! Support great music!

Dear Mr. Penis Head.......2001-10-26
This is an awesome CD. The caliber of music and subjects that it touches is rare. It makes me cry, laugh, yell and want to change. "Dr. Mr. penis head" has become a theme song, "Get Up...Move" is my anthem for the 911 tradegy, "Drain Me" tells the story of my life, "Your Best Best" rocks and "Call Me Sister" is one of the best tunes I have ever heard! I have heard the CD hundreds of times and will long to hear it many more. The honesty and courage this CD displays gives service to waking up the world in a positive way.
Suprising and Dynamic!!!!.......2001-10-25
My first experience with Danielle Lo Presti and the Masses was a large out door festival in San Diego. Her live performance took me by complete surprise. I wasn't expecting such an powerful and emotionally charged performance from what I thought would be "Just another Girl Band". While he Cd is very powerful and well put together, her live performances are what really captured my attention. Each song on the P-Head CD is charged with personal experince and the emotions that drive them. And she brings that quality with her to the stage, ten fold. Reaching deep inside she has been able to touch parts of my soul that I had forgotten.
With her song "Move" I am reminded of friends that I have who are struggling with similar issues. "Ow" brings to my mind mistakes and the repercussions that followed. And "Freedom" is a bittersweet anthem of what it means to truly be free from romance when deep inside it is what we all truly want. The one song that truly enraptures me is "They Got You". The anger unleashed in this song is overwhelming at times. It is truly a statement on society and how it influences, and can even ruin, ones self image as well as ones physical form; and on how "The Dr. Fankenstein" approach to self esteem no only affects those who undergo the procedures, but how it can have negative effects on loved ones.
Danielle LoPesti, is one of the most stunningly intricate vocalists I have heard in a while. Where some female vocalists maintin a clean cut image or stick to topics that are light and romantic, Danielle pulls from her own personal experiences. Her choices for song topics are not as light hearted as most pop musicians today. But even in those deep emotional thoughts, there is an uplifting quality that cuts through all of it, and brings an understanding of today's world through the eyes of this dynamic and powerful young woman!!!
Music with so much emotion is a MUST have.......2001-10-24
No matter what you are feeling on any particular day this album has a song that will go with your mood. It is feel good, thoughtful, sometimes sad but all around wonderful music. My personal favorite is "Drain Me." Danielle managed to capture a feeling that everyone has had in a truly compelling song that is so incredible live that it blows me away.
No cd collection should be without a copy of this!
