About the Artist
The Raging Teens are turning up the heat on the burgeoning American rockabilly revival with the release of their second full-length and Rubric Records debut, ROCK ‘n’ ROLL PARTY (out February 20, 2001). The energetic four-piece out of Boston, Massachusetts, by way of Portsmouth, New Hampshire commands a devoted fan base throughout New England and as they learned on various nationwide tours, strong word of mouth for their excellent live shows has spread coast to coast. The Boston Globe claims that The Raging Teens "put more sweat and aggression in their songs than the standard rockabilly band," while the Boston Herald described the band’s lead guitarist as "a 20-something prodigy who dresses like a debutante and plays like a demon; she can recapture the solos that Scotty Moore played with Elvis in the ‘50s without messing up her hair." Nifty praise for a band whose members were (except for one) all but teens themselves when they founded the band in 1997.

Charismatic lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Kevin Patey fronts The Raging Teens. Kevin is a veteran of the Boston music scene whose also co-fronted a rockabilly band with Jack Hanlon of The Amazing Royal Crowns. The rhythm section features Matt Murphy slapping the upright bass and Keith Schubert driving the beat on drums. But perhaps the main attraction of The Raging Teens is the lovely Miss Amy Griffin, rockabilly’s premiere female lead guitarist. Miss Amy may dress demurely but she plays like hell on wheels. In addition to cranking out sweet solos and breaking young men’s hearts on stage with The Raging Teens, Amy has also displayed her many other talents playing keyboards, guitar and Theremin for Mary Lou Lord’s touring band.

The Raging Teens have performed at every important rockabilly show in New England including the first annual Rockabilly Ball, the most attended event of the 1997 LOUD Music Festival. They enjoyed a recent headlining spot at the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly weekend and have toured Europe twice where they headlined the Rockabilly Rave in England. They have played with local and national rockabilly acts including Ronnie Dawson, Big Sandy, Wayne Hancock, Ray Condo, Cigar Store Indians, and Sun Records legend Billy Lee Riley. The Raging Teens’ appeal however extends beyond the rockabilly crowd. They have converted listeners to their brand of high energy music across the country by sharing the stage with such diverse national acts as the Amazing Crowns, CAKE, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Mojo Nixon, indie-rock heroes The Bevis Frond, and ex-Replacements Slim Dunlap and Tommy Stinson (with his new band Perfect).

Deke Dickerson, Hightone Recording artist, (of the Dave and Deke Combo) engineered ROCK AND ROLL PARTY at his Ecco-fonic studio in Los Angeles using only vintage recording equipment for a completely authentic sound. The band’s self-titled debut CD on Annabelle Records featured eight originals and a song written expressly for the band by the outstanding Mary Lou Lord (who also happens to be nuptially-bound to Raging Teen Kevin).

On February 17th, The Raging Teens will celebrate the release of Rock ‘n’ Roll Party at an all day Rockabilly event, featuring 13 bands, clothing vendors, DJs, and more at Boston’s famed Middle East club.

The complete Grease experience. This cd is a two disc-set with disc one being the complete soundtrack, while disc two is all bonus material including the popular Grease Megamix. Fans of the movie would want to make this cd an essential part of their music collection.

Prepare to be transported to Summer Nights.......2006-03-26

Well here we are with a great piece of history.

This album has not only captured the spirit of the movie but the essence of a 1970's version of the 1950's. I have seen this play live and yes some things are different. Yet I grew up on the movie. I even find myself singing some of the songs now and then. Of course you will never see me singing "Look At Me, I'm Sandra Dee." However I do keep this in my car as great driving music. This album is not you can pick apart and say things like missing songs, in the wrong order etc. It sounds and feels just right. There will be many versions yet this one is the Grease - Deluxe Edition [ORIGINAL RECORDING REMASTERED] [SOUNDTRACK] gives you more information about each of the tracks allowing you to feel that you have inside information and to feel that you know more of what went into the making of each song.

Great Soundtrack & Fun Extras from an Enduring Musical........2004-07-06

I'm enjoying listening to this great soundtrack that I loved as a child after a long hiatus. I had it on 8-track 25 years ago. So it's fitting that I should get the 25th Anniversary Edition on CD. The 24 songs from the movie are just as everyone remembers them, so I'll talk about the Bonus Disc, which contains 10 alternative versions of the songs plus 2 previously unreleased instrumentals from the film.

Track 1 on the Bonus Disc is an instrumental version of the film's theme, "Grease", written and produced by Barry Gibb. Frankie Valli's voice has been replaced by a saxophone. The chorus is vocal, but the voices are not those in the original song. You could use this as a sing-along version, as it would be easy to sing over the sax. Tracks 2-5 are officially sing-along versions. "Summer Nights" includes the chorus vocals from the film and sounds good. "You're the One That I Want" has new chorus vocals of questionable merit. "Sandy" is a new arrangement. It's not as good as the film version, but you can sing along. Track 6 is the single version of "Greased Lightning" that you may have heard on the radio back in the day. It's differs from the original in that the bad words have been replaced for radio airplay. Tracks 7-8 are previously unreleased instrumentals from the film. "Greased Up and Ready to Go" is lively. Tracks 9-10 are mixes that I occasionally hear on the radio. The "Grease Megamix" and the "Grease Dream Mix" are fun, if awkward. Tracks 11-12 are Martian Remixes of "Summer Nights" and "You're the One That I Want". They retain the original vocals, but set them to a Latin rhythm. They make pretty good dance tracks.

This 2-disc set isn't in a jewel case. The case is paperboard with 4 panels that fold out. This is inside of a clear vinyl slip case on which the tracks are written. This isn't convenient packaging. On the bright side, the case won't crack in the mail. Tucked inside one of the panels is a booklet that contains lyrics and credits.

The "Grease: 25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition" is a terrifically fun soundtrack to one of the all-time great movie musicals. And for all those preteen girls who go wild over the movie with each new generation, the bonus material is perfect for parties and horsing around.

If You Love Grease, You'll Love This - Only 1 Major Flaw.......2004-05-15

Disc 1 is like the original album, which I also own. 1 major flaw is that "Love Is A Many Splendored Thing" cuts off at the very end of it! I was upset by this, hence the 3 stars instead of 4. Disc 2 is a lot of fun w/some remixes and sing-a-longs, all in all, I'm pretty happy with it being that I'm a HUGE Grease fan. If you like Grease, you'll love this, it's fun. Too bad when they "remastered" it, they didn't catch there 1 mistake. Oh well, at least I have it on another album.

After reading all the reviews, I was expecting to love this CD. But the music starts to all sound the same. It's Brady's version of Bob Dylan-ish music with kid-like beats and words - but much of it is boring. It's not terrible, and my daughter gets a kick out of some of the words, but all in all, I suggest her other music CDs and I wouldn't recommend someone buy this one.

Children's music that is fun for all ages.......2005-02-15

WOW! Brady's latest album is his best. The tunes are growing up (as are our kids). They are still young and fun, and yet "cool" enough to keep our 6 and 8 year old boys' attention.
I especially enjoy the title track "I Found It'.

This is one of those situation where a few years from now, you'll say, "I knew him when..." because there is no better kids music out there. The tunes are great and the lyrics capture the sweetness, silliness, and innocence of youth. Brady has 2 kids of his own and is well aware that kids' music is listened to by both kids AND parents. If your kids are like most, not only do they not mind repetition, they relish it, so it is a huge bonus that this music is so great to listen to. I really like this album, with Look at My Belly a close second, while my son's favorite is Fall Leaves. Buy 'em all and you won't be sorry.

This is the children's album we've been looking for. "I Found It" is a pretty apt title. The kids adore Brady's tunes and-- incredibly-- so do we. Nothing against Raffi or baby belugas, but a lot of music aimed at kids is pretty hard to take. Some of Brady's stuff, on the other hand, stands up to the best of adult rock. If your own idea of great music is Neal Young or Dave Mathews, you are in for a treat. We stumbled upon this, then went and bought the other albums by Brady. All are wonderful.

For any long-time Sha Na Na fan this is a must for your collection. Regrettably, this marks the end of the Chico Ryan years; however, he lives on with "Queen of the Hop," "Hokey Pokey," and "Party Doll."

This CD had no original recordings. They are new stereo/studio recordings performed by the orginal artists. They all used computerized music, and even the singers sounded computerized, especially Lesley Gore singing It's My Party.Please find something better!

Album Description

Out In The Community is the powerful debut from Portland, Oregon's The Quags, a band that builds upon the greatest rock grooves from the 1970's. Co-produced and engineered by Eric Furlong (Sunset Valley, 44 Long), it was mostly recorded live with classic songs that bring to mind the best moments of The Faces, The Rolling Stones, Ziggy Stardust era David Bowie, and The Kinks. More contemporary references might be found with artists like Whiskeytown and White Stripes.

An exciting electric album, energetic rough and ready with a sense of musical history but channeled for the 21st century. On Out In The Community, the band is joyful, raucous, and fiery playing with equal parts musical precision and reckless abandonment.

The Quags play glam rock channeled through the same plaid shirt rock n' roll party spirit that fueled The Replacements. With smart heartfelt lyrics found in songs like "Danna Was An Artist" and "Living Hell", singer/guitarist/songwriter Dennis Mitchell sounds like equal parts Ray Davies and NRBQ's Terry Adams.
