5 out of 5 stars Well, It's Night Time In The City...........2004-02-20

A PSYCHOBILLY MASTERPIECE! This is The Meteors second album, their first without Nigel Lewis and their first with an electric bass, and what an album it is. This classic album will make your ears bleed with it's psycho rock n' roll and you'll love every minute of it. The album kicks off with the raucous "Insane", a song about how love gone wrong can drive you mad, and only gets better as the album goes on. There are so many classic songs on this album, the undead rocker "I Ain't Ready", the nihilistic sing along "I Don't Worry About It", and one of my personal favorites "Rattlesnakin' Daddy". The disturbing stroll of "Sick Things" will blacken even the warmest heart. The Metoers also serve up a killer cover of John Leyton's teenage death classic "Johnny Remember Me". And you can't talk about this album without mentioning the Psychobilly anthem "Wreckin' Crew". If you listen to Psychobilly and don't have this album, well may Satan help you. This remastered version has the original "Wreckin' Crew" album plus all four songs from the "Mutant Rock" ep as bonus tracks. WARNING! May cause squares to combust!

AFRIEND OF MINE BORROWED A TAPE WITH THIS ALBUM ON IT. I HAVE BEEN FOREVER GRATEFUL TO HIM FOR OPENING MY EYES TO THE POSSIBILITIES OF GOOD TASTE IN MUSIC. I DETESTE MOST POPULAR,OVEREXPOSED,COMMERCIAL SOUNDTRACKS THAT SHOWCASE WEAK, WHINY, XEROXED BOYS WHO ARE DRESSED DIFFERENTLY JUST ENOUGH TO FIT INTO THE IMAGE OF A HIP YOUNG PERSON. THAT'S WHY I LOVE THIS ALBUM. I CAN'T GET OVER IT. FUN AND CREEPY AND ALTHOUGH I HATE TO USE THE TERM "ROCKS"-IT ROCKS. IT KEEPS YOU WARM AND AGGRESSIVE WHEN EVERYTHING GETS COLD, LIFELESS AND STUPID. MAINTAINS YOUR ATTITUDE. ITS ADDICTIVE. I LOVE IT. THAT'S ALL I HAD TO SAY. LISTEN. GOOD.
