5 out of 5 stars NASTY!.......2003-03-08

OK, here. Nasty. Well, dey rock. Ya know? I mean, eh, dey incompass so many different tings. Like, eh. Um. Rock, for example. And eh um music. Very important. Dey rock, in fact. Very much so. Too bad dey broke up. Amazing group of characters and musical people. I'd elect em president. Of Georgia.

4 out of 5 stars Excellent example of their work.......2001-08-29

I can't say enough good things about The Nasty. They encompass so many genres that they're virtually impossible to clasify. When I bought this CD, I'd been to two of their shows, both of which blew me away. These are three of the most talented musicians I've ever heard, and to this day, the best live band I've ever seen. This record is a great example of their work, but in my opinion, it lacks the energy and vitality of their live show. However, the lack of energy is justified in the grooves. "Sing It On The D" is a great funk-rock piece (and always a crowd pleaser at the shows), and "Kathy II" is probably the best rocker on the album (and you gotta love the lyrics). "Sory Bones" may be the funniest track on the CD, and has sort of a bluegrass vibe. And "This World" is a great funky jam that's sure to make you shake some booty. Overall, it's just a damn fine record, and after listening to it, it will seem quite clear that they're going to produce a hit one day. Three cheers for Pat and the brothers Wilke!

5 out of 5 stars Awesome!.......2001-06-12

When I first heard the band after buying the CD, I was amazed! Here are three high school-college aged kids sounding like professionals. Hooked me from the start. Then, recently, I heard them again at the Battle of the Bands at my high school, and it amazed me even more in hearing Smooth Criminal and Kathy I. I HIGHLY recommend this CD, it combines the best aspects of Weezer and contemporary songs into a highly likable sound.
