The wildest ever, and they are back!.......2004-06-04

This band were probably light years ahead of their time, they were simply fabulous live. The LP is full of preposterous warblings and eerie guitars. They last played live in Germany in 1997, but I hear on the grapevine that they are reforming and are going to release some new recordings. That is one day I am really looking forward to.

In a class of their own, I look forward to more from this veritable band of goofballs.

Fun and stomp with the Sarnos in space.......2003-04-13

My favorite track here - "Sarnos in Space". The opening lines telling you a story about Rochee Sarno and his friends, where they came from and where are they going.
The Sarnos are only 18 - 22 years old (if you beleive the sleeve notes written by Sarnos themselves). Vocalist is a real funny boy, just listen to the "Dead Dog Blues" or "Gay Cowboy". There are a few cover songs, including "Mud Boat" originally released by mystery Sonny Russell in 1963.
The music of this quartet is a bit outstanding: double-bass with one string and pumping drums will make you mad before you stopped listening.
The CD version of this 1985 album contains 3 bonus tracks from early singles. This is the only album from legendary Rochee & The Sarnos, so it should be in every Psycho/Neo-Rockabilly collection.
