Buy this CD especially if you have seen the movie, the selections on this CD gives you a nice intro to Mahler, and contemporary music as well as to the Westside, and Candide. Good playing and sound.

...and this is a mean one! Back in the mid 90's Graham Oliver reteamed with Steve Dawson and Pete Gill-his ex-bandmates from "Saxon" and added Ted Bullet of "Thunderhead" on vox and Hadyn Conway (Saracen) on second guitar.This was the result--It absolutely cranked ! Not a weak track on there.Easily better than most of Saxon's output post "Forever Free".This disc was a welcome surprise back when it came out and i still love listening to this bad boy.Thanks guys! ---By the way for those who don't know this line-up minus (Ted and Pete)would morph into Oliver/Dawson Saxon (adding John "Wardi" Ward and Nigel Durham respectively).

Lord help me, I bought this because I thought it was the pre-Saxon version of SOB (they formed in 1974 and changed their name to Saxon soon after) and that these recordings were ya know... vintage.
But no. It is 1996 and Graham Oliver and Steve Dawson have re-formed the OLD band for some reason, and here we have some passable if run-of-the-mill metal with painfully generic singer (Ted Bullet of Thunderhead "fame"), whom I suspect wrote that other review. And is responsible for talking about a "slob-job on my throb-knob" on this record. Please.
Since I wouldn't want my own misinformation to detract from the actual quality herein -- two stars. But that's because I didn't figure in the power of my disappointment.

These recording continue to be tremendous hits with Ted's loyal followers in Germany, Japan and Brazil. Ted has been a major contributor to the bands---THUNDERHEAD and SONOFABITCH.
