This is an excellent collection for the Sal Mineo fanatic like me! His music rivals the best of the teen idols of the period, and Start Movin'(In My Direction) is still the best ever song of that genre! Don't hesitate to buy this cd!! All of the other tracks are nearly as good as his biggest hit! And in response to the previous reviewer, since when has sexual orientation had any bearing on one's singing abilities? The two have no connection in my mind. Sal was a wonderful singer and wonderful man and that's that! This cd proves it a thousand times!!!

Sal's voice is surprisingly good, and the songs he sings from Secret Doorway are very soothing, his sexual orientation doesn't have any bearing on his ability to sing. He was multi-talented.

I Love Sal Mineo's wonderful recordings,and was thrilled to find this collection! He had such a beautiful voice,and this music really capture's the era of the late 1950's. Sal Mineo was such a wonderful singer and actor,and I think this collection is a "MUST" for any Sal Mineo fan,and also for any fan of 1950's pop music.

I very much agree with Wynn's review, Sal Mineo has a great voice too and I've listened to samples from this cd and it's great 50s pop. A must have! :)

Not only was Sal Mineo a great actor,but many have forgotten what a beautiful voice he had as well! This is such a great collection of songs,and Sal sings them from the heart!
