About the Artist
We in Half Acre Day play our own brand of indie pop, shaped and reshaped over the span of 10 years together. H.A.D. strives to make songs that are vivid, catchy, fuzzy, buzzy, cranky, creepy, weird, wonderful, horrible, adorable, ironic, subacoustic, bombastic, beautiful, stupid, clever, clumsy and graceful. We want to make songs to hug your cat to and songs to put your dog to sleep to. If you feel any of these things, please fill in this circle completely with a No.2 pencil: 0

Customer Reviews:
A Great Band Making Great Music.......2004-02-18
H.A.D.'s first full-length album is a masterpiece of indie rock. The band was one of my lucky finds as I saw them opening for The Long Winters and The Presidents of the USA. Their live was so impressive that I bought the album. "Primo" quite simply blew me away, and has been a regular visitor to my CD player ever since. One of H.A.D.'s greatest attributes is its uniqueness. What other band can pull off having all four members sing lead vocals (even the drummer!) on at least one track? I'd like to compare them to another band, but I can't. The songs are witty, irreverant, serious, and ultimately, smile-inducing. Their music style varies so much, they can't be lumped into any one category. I'd just classify them as "amazing". Highlights include: the paranoid, conspiracy theororist "Alias", the mind-blowing "Fortune Cookie", the upbeat "Mrs. Conway's Son", and the groovy "Carpool". Who am I kidding, the WHOLE ALBUM is a highlight!
A must have.......2002-05-09
This is one of those albums that just grows on you after every listen. With three songwriters, the songs never seem repetitive and they keep you guessing from track to track. The big highlight is "Carpool' a sort of " I am the Walrus" for the new year with a catchy, catchy hook. When this becomes a single or a video is made, this band will be huge.
