...so where is his solo album? i know that jonesay broke up. but i feel the need to hear more of justin's work. i met him recently in LA where he is now hanging. he played at the famed viper room. just him and his guitar to a packed house. it was great - he played new material that i hope he lays down in the studio soon. p.s. he is a great kisser.

Jonasay is an awesome group! Their music is so real and fresh- they don't use the studio soundboard to totally change them- what you hear is Jonasay~! I Highly Recommend~!

I liked "Portrait," I LOVE "Spare Dimes for Dust." These guys have really come into their own. Their sound and technique has matured over the course of the past few years. "Spare Dimes..." is an amazing CD- one of those that you can put into your player and listen to every single song. (No fast-forwarding here!) And if you ever get a chance to see Jonasay live, DO IT! They put on one heck of a live show. Can't wait for their next CD!

I first heard Jonasay when they opened for Live one night. Maybe it was just that they were the best of the 4 opening bands, but I was just blown away. I ordered Spare Dimes for Dust the minute I got home, and I love every minute of it. With a solid lead singer and powerful music to back him up, Jonasay has the potential to go far. Great CD...great band...try it.

It's not often you discover a CD as good as this with such consistency and quality songwriting. The album flows from the opening riff of Stay right through to the final tracks where Jacob & others lie in wait for your audible delight. Yes, Jonasay do get the inevitable comparisons to established acts out there but it's important to remember how those acts came to be. They too started with great material like this.

Great Group!!.......1999-11-02

Even though you may not of heard of Jonasay, you would be really impressed with their music. I had the chance to go to the Vertical Horizon Show in Winston-Salem at Ziggys and they were their opening band! That was the first time I have heard them and really want to go see them again. They put on a wonderful show and if you ever have the chance to hear their music i wouldnt pass it by!

The more I hear this CD the more I find in it. In this day and age of bands trying to find a hook or a gimmick it is so cool to find a band whose gimmick is being really great musicians. All of their songs have tunes that are catchy and stay with you. But the hook is the lyrics. All the songs are well written. You will rock and you will get pulled in. From 'Waiting for Godot' to the addictive 'Ultraman' Jonasay will deliver some of the finest songs you have ever heard. You can not go wrong with this CD.

I recently saw this band open for Vertical Horizon at the Cat's Cradle and urge anyone who likes pop/rock music to buy this CD, kick back & enjoy!!!!!!! (...Although you may not be kicking back and relaxing once ***ULTRAMAN*** hits you!! - it's huge!!!) I am glad that I can say "I first saw them when...."

I love this CD! Great songwriting and very catchy tunes. When are the local radio stations going to wake up and start playing this kind of stuff??? Next time they play in Baltimore I will be in the front row screaming for Ultraman!!!!

I picked up a copy of Jonasay's CD at a recent show, inspired by the energy of their live performance. What accolade can I give other than it has had a permanent spot in my CD changer ever since?

My only critique would be that some of the great songs they play in the live show are not on it! Give me more so I can give a 5 star award next time!

A terrific CD - soul-searching and fun at the same time.......1999-04-22

Upon a recommendation by a friend familiar the the Washington/Baltimore local music scene, I purchased and listened to Jonasay's self-titled 6-track CD. While I was hoping for an above-average experience, what I found instead were extraordinary lyrics matched with a catchy, but not trite, sound. The CD starts with "Waiting for Godot" a stirring, soulful tale of a man tortured by fear, and ends with the hard-rock angst of "Ultraman". By the time the CD was over, I was left wanting more! And as for the reviewer in Alexandria, it sounds like a small-town nothing attitude to me...

You'll love this one if you enjoy tasteful non-teeny bopperish music. Fans of Hootie, Edwin McCain, Sting, Sister Hazel, GooGoo Dolls, etc, will agree, buy 2, one for a spare when you undoubtably scratch the first one playing it all the time.

Well, in Washington DC my friends and i heard Jonasay playing in a bar. After listening we bought a cd from a "groupie". They are amazing for an aspiring band. All i can say is, BUY THIS CD!!
