About the Artist
Kansas City punks The Underdog Conspiracy play an infectious brand of rock and roll. Beginning in 1999, the band has taken influence from such bands as Good Riddance, Lifetime, Face to Face, and the Suicide Machines, forming a raw, blazing fury of sound, complete with course vocals and a unique delivery of brutally honest lyrics. Their live performance is renowned for its energetic style and sometimes destructive nature. The band self-released a well-circulated demo CD in the spring of 2000, and found a home at Pluto Records a year later to release "Victory", recorded in the fall of 2001 at Ashland Studios in Kansas City.

Product Description
Kansas City punks THE UNDERDOG CONSPIRACY infect your bleeding ears with punk rock fury on their debut CD, "Victory". Blazing and raw, if you're into bands like Rancid and Good Riddance, check this out.

5 out of 5 stars Great Music, Misunderstood.......2007-07-16

I've been a fan of Silverstein for the past couple of years and I was really excited when I found out about this album. That is, until I read the crappy reviews it got. But, I decided to buy it anyway and in my opinion it's a good album. I think that the view that the lyrics are immature and childish is just plain stupid. If you know anything about the background for any of this album, you'd understand it a bit more. You see, Shane just broke off a seven year relationship because of his career and he transfered his feelings about it into this album. I don't know about the rest of you but if it were me I'd probably have written it the same way he did. Then again, how many of you are actually musicians who have to choose between your passion and the ones you love. Just think about that before you judge this album.

5 out of 5 stars dont listen to the other reviews..........2007-07-12

listen. im not a huge silverstein fan. but i love this album. dont listen to the other reviews saying that they sound like a high school band with " potential". this is a good cd. the sound is slightly different, but it still has the familiar silverstein feel to it. it really isnt as bad as the reviews say. sure the lyrics arent their best. but give 'em more credit. this is an awesome cd. no question.

5 out of 5 stars Review.......2007-07-09

When I heard that there was going to be a new Silverstein CD come out I waited untill it came out and I went to go order it.

But After I read all of the crapy reviews for it I wasn't sure I wanted to get it anymore.

After a while of thinking about it I just decided I would just get it anyways. And well, to make a long story short, I think the CD is awesome and definately worth the money. If you're wondering weather to buy it or not based on the reviews it's gotten I would recomend you to just but it and see for yourself.

4 out of 5 stars .........2007-07-08

This album was great, but not that great sound that was all over the discovering the waterfront album. They took only about 4 to 5 months to write their songs and record them.. They really shouldnt rush the album and take their time to make a platinum album. I like it, but i miss the old silverstein a lot more.

2 out of 5 stars A huge step backwards.......2007-07-06

I was not a huge fan of the first Silverstein CD "When Broken is easily Fixed". But there were a few decent tracks on it. Then I had heard a few tracks online from "Discovering the Waterfront". I was so impressed with them that I went out and bought their sophomore attempt. I was not let down. It was amazing. I was shocked at how well their sound had progressed and how intense the songs were on that record. I thought "Here is a band that might actually get better with every album".

So obviously I was excited upon hearing about the release of their newest record "Arrivals and Departures". And I hate to say it, that is exactly what this album is. The arrival of a newer, much more watered down version of their first CD, and the departure of the sound that encompassed "Discovering the Waterfront, which had made them one of my favorite bands.

I heard the song "The sound of the sun" online and I was tricked. I went out and bought the CD based on that song, and thought the rest of the album would be at least that good if not better. How wrong could I have been. Besides the first track the album was chalk full pop punk/emo hooks and run-of-the-mill high school-esque lyrical content. Not to mention most of the songs seemed to blend together. There was hardly a change in pace from song to song. The drumming was consistently mid tempo punk drumming and the screaming that filled the last album seemed to fall to the wayside.

So the overall synopsis. Upon finishing the first listen to the CD, I quickly popped "Discovering the Waterfront" back into the stereo. Maybe these guys should have taken an extra six months to write some better material. A band is supposed to mature with the release of every album, not digress. I hope they get back to the studio and try and fix this problem with their next album. That is assuming that this pile of crap does not get them booted from their label.

PS: The only reason I gave the album two stars was because of the first track, which sounds like it belonged on the last CD.

5 out of 5 stars Victory at Sea.......2007-06-08

Just like the TV series. At my age I still remember the series and WWII.

5 out of 5 stars What memories!.......2007-03-28

Anyone who lived through WWII will bond with this CD. The first time I heard the music, I was with the Red Cross providing entertainment for the wounded patients at Walter Reed Army Hosp. in Washington DC shortly after the war. Of course, our Navy did tangle with German subs & ships in the Atlantic, but to me Richard Rodgers' music spells the conflict on the other sea, which resulted from the Japanese devastating attack on Pearl Harbor. Mr.Rodgers was a genius in composing this music. There is no mistaking the sound of the big guns going off, the torpedo attacks, the anguish of all personnel, and then - victory. One hears several singable melodies, the most popular & memorable being the one that later became a hit popular song: "No Other Love Have I." To this day, my heart aches when I listen to this CD. Much of it, of course, is in the minor mode, til ...a VICTORY! This music reminds me of the tremendous sacrifice made by so many thousands of our American youth, one of which was my pure, 20-year-old cousin, killed on Luzon in May 1945. This is a prize CD.

5 out of 5 stars Victory At Sea CD.......2007-01-04

The quality of the digitally remastered music on this CD is far and above what I was expecting. The entire CD plays flawlessly without so much as a hint of unwanted background noise. My experience in purchasing this CD was very good. Shipment was almost immediate and delivery prompt. I can find absolutely nothing to complain about and am very happy with my purchase. Thanks a million.

3 out of 5 stars FYI.......2006-11-10

Original lp was released in 1956; performance by members of the NBC symphony orchestra. Vol.2 of V at S was released in 1959 and Vol.3 in the early
1960's and performance is by the RCA symphony orchestra. Note: Arturo
Toscanini was conductor of the NBC symphony from 1937 until 1954. Under his direction, NBC was considered to be one of the finest
symphony orchestras in the world. When Maestro Toscanini died in 1957, the
orchestra disbanded 5 years later.

3 out of 5 stars Disappointing.......2006-11-08

I grew up with an LP recording of the Boston Pops playing most of the tracks found on this CD. While this particular recording may be closer to the original, I found the tempos plodding and lacking in energy. The strings sound muddy and weak and at times the general sound reminded me of a good high school orchestra. This recording is just not doing justice to the music. I find it disappointing.

5 out of 5 stars Another strong album. Definitely worth buying........2007-07-16

This is Darkest Hour's second album produced by Devin Townsend. He did an amazing job with the experimentation of "Undoing Ruin". What they learned working together on that album really comes out in "Deliver Us". Its almost a masterpiece. The guitar playing stands out the most. Townsend really focused on Kris Norris and Mike Scheliebaum. Amazing solos are all over the place. The drumming and bass is as expected of Darkest Hour -excellent time changes. Together they pulled off an atmosphere that will make this a classic metal album.
Now here is where musicianship comes in. Darkest Hour has grown a lot since "So Sedated.." and they are able to pull off a more epic sound. John Henry had to EVOLVE his vocals to fit. His screams and growls still dominate the album. He has only added another element to his vocals. Kinda like what Matt Heafy had to do with Trivium when they put out the Crusade, except not nearly as extreme.

IN RESPONSE TO OTHER REVIEWS:

There are always those "original" fans that cling on to the old school and reject the new. Yet they fail to make any comparisons between the two sounds. Darkest Hour has been playing this style of metal since they were kids. "Deliver Us" is a progression of that style -the band did not take on a new sound. If I did not follow this band I would assume that "Deliver Us" came before "Undoing Ruin", as it actually ties "..Sadist Nation" and "Undoing Ruin" together. If you loved either one of those albums then you will like this one.

When I first listened to the album and the song Demons came on i thought "what? is john trying to sing?". I was really bored by the chorus on that track. The assumption by the so-called old schoolers is that Darkest Hour is selling out, going main stream, blah blah whine poop mommy whyyyy -But if they were a little more opened minded about the new album instead of expecting the band cover something that was already done ten years ago, they would realize that John is only syncing himself in with the atmosphere Townsend was trying to create. And despite watering down the track Demons, he did an excellent job on the rest of the album. There are parts where growling just would not work. The track A Paradox With Flies is a good example of this.
__________________________________

Stand And Receive Your Judgment is the strongest track on this album for those who like the earlier stuff.
Tungusta is the best example of their evolution for those who were more in to their last two albums.
Five stars. Buy this album. See you at Sounds of the Underground.

5 out of 5 stars Incredible progress from this band.......2007-07-14

These guys have stepped it up even further than Undoing Ruin. Everything great about that album has been expanded and a lot more has been added. They play around a lot more with "cleaner" vocals, although I wouldn't exactly call John Henry's voice a smooth singing type, but it works really well. The first two tracks sound like they could have been from the last album but after that they begin to vary the song elements quite a bit.

Standout tracks for me point to three songs in the middle of the album. "A Paradox With the Flies", "The Light at the Edge of the World", followed by the crushing "Stand and Receive Your Judgment." These three tracks back-to-back make for an awesome summary of the album. The last half of the closing title track has to be one of their best moments as well. Diving into an amazing instrumental part and ending with a destructive version of the chorus.

If you want a good thrash album with some death metal influences, I highly recommend this. These guys have shed their hardcore beginnings for good if this album is going to be a sign of where they are going to continue their musical path.

5 out of 5 stars Really Amazing!.......2007-07-11

I really don't like alot of metal type music. there are however exceptions like In Flames and Darkest Hour. This new album is everything that I was hoping for. It is a clear progression from Undoing Ruin (which I loved). Everything they have done is a progression. I love the solos the very most (very melodic). I don't think that John Henry's voice sounds like the idiot from sun 41, I think it is a nice touch. something different.

5 out of 5 stars AMAZING BAND!.......2007-07-10

This album is probably the best thing Darkest hour has ever put out, i mean the other review explains everything wrong with metalheads....so you want DH to still play there older sound? IMO that was alot more boring then this....They've added so much more now, you can really see the progression...Just Amazing Melodies, Leads/Solos, drum sound is alot better...And John's vocals sound stronger and more angry then ever....he reminds me of Stanne(DT) at times....

If you want a good American Metal band Strongly Influenced by the Melodic Death Metal kings such as..In Flames, Dark Tranquillity and At the Gates, I highly recommend this album. 5 STARS!

Up there with new Symphony X as album of the year for me.

3 out of 5 stars ...........2007-07-10

First, if yer a fan of older Darkest Hour (pre-Undoing Ruin) than this album is not for you. But if you are a fan of Undoing Ruin then I am sure you will love this.. this... garbage.

I feel as though this album is so watered down and boring compared to any of their other material. The biggest change someone will notice is J. Henry's vocals. He is using more clean vocals like he did on a few tracks on Undoing Ruin. my only problem with this is that it sounds like the singer of Sum 41, and that's very bad.

The solos have improved while the actual guitar work itself is boring and nothing too exciting.

Best tracks: An Ethereal Drain, Stand And Receive Your Judgement, Deliver Us.

Don't throw away yer money, just download the album.

For new fans who have only heard Demons and were like "zomgzzz soo br00tal!!!11!!11" dont waste yer time. Go pick up Mark of The Judas and Hidden Hands Of A Sadist Nation instead.

After a string of hits across the first half of the nineties, the Gin Blossoms disbanded by the decade's end. With the appearance of a greatest hits collection continuing to keep their songs alive, the band did a reunion show that led to a full fledged tour in 2002. Returning to the studio with a dozen new songs, Major Lodge Victory is their first new album in ten years. It's full of guitar hooks wedded to emotionally evocative lyrics ("I promise I won't hurt you anymore" "Mama said your life wouldn't be too easy, that's about the only thing she said at all"), most songs being by band founder Jesse Valenzuela. Robin Wilson's lightly vibratoed vocals have an evocative presence that call to mind Richie Furay (Buffalo Springfield anyone?). The band manages to be at once crisp and powerful, occasionally finding grooves to settle into, but never straying far from the dramatic needs of each song. --David Greenberger

5 out of 5 stars Another Victory for the Gin Blossoms!!.......2007-06-21

After ten years of hiatus, the Gin Blossoms return with a new album and the guys do not skip a beat. The Gins have returned and stayed true to their form. The new album picks up right where Congratualtions left off and is simply a home run. The new cd presents many ctachy pwer po tracks such as Long Time Gone, Come On Hard, Super Girl, Learning the Hard Way, and The End of the World. Williams and Vennezula have really produced a nice album and its great to see the guyz back together. Hopefully there is still more albums to come from the Gins in the near future!

4 out of 5 stars Great Comeback.......2007-06-20

Welcome back the Blossoms! This is a reunion album, but the band really doesn't explore any new territory here. It's basically the next Gin Blossoms album, albeit after many (too many) years and a few other musical experiments (Gas Giants to name one.)

Recommended for power pop fans and anyone who remembers the Gin Blossoms heyday.

5 out of 5 stars Almost as good as their first.......2007-05-13

This is a great band and they still rock. This cd is great.

5 out of 5 stars Great album- great band.......2007-04-19

Definately give this album a try- especially with summer approaching. This is pure roll-down-your-windows and crank out feel-good music while driving down the interstate. Although it not- surpringly lacks hits, you won't be disappointed.

5 out of 5 stars VICTORY!.......2007-04-15

a victorious return.... as a fan from the ep "up and crumbling" a "few" years? back it is awesome to hear the "gbs" rock again. great melodies and lyrics, as from the start of their career. also their sound remains intact, a tribute to their lost band member indeed! every tune begs for another listen... so after a break it's all good! would love to see a tour!

5 out of 5 stars Woo Hoo!.......2007-05-07

This is by far the best CD in the Baby Einstein collection--it will put your toddler in hyperactive playful mode and exhaust you as you try to keep up. But for today's overweight, tv- and game- addicted children, this is great!

5 out of 5 stars Einstein.......2007-04-09

Anything that has an Einstein in the title my twins love. I used to play this for them at night while they slept.

5 out of 5 stars The baby danced........2007-03-09

I gave Baby Einstein: Playtime Music Box to a little boy on his first birthday. He loves it and dances and dances to the music.

5 out of 5 stars A Lot of Fun for Playtime.......2006-01-04

This CD is a lot of fun. The music is bubbly and upbeat and makes you want to get up and dance or just jump around. It's a great way to spend some play time with your kids. And the classical music exposure is a bonus.

1 out of 5 stars Synthesized dreck.......2005-08-13

Why did the producers use synthesizers for this music? It's awful. It's possible to hook kids on classical music using the actual instruments written for it - that's how I got hooked. That's what Mel Blanc and Disney did in their cartoons, Bugs Bunny and Fantasia. I do NOT recommend this CD to anyone. It was a shower gift. If you are not familiar with classical music, then I recommend "Baby Needs Beethoven", which is a collection of music using real instruments (albeit shortened - no full length symphonies here).

Album Description

Taking Back Sunday draws forth images of what would be born of a marriage between Thursday and Saves The Day. The songs feature passionate, heartfelt lyrics that any listener easily identifies with. In December 2001,Victory Records signed Taking Back Sunday and put them in the skillful hands of producer Sal Villanueva and engineer Tim Gilles (Thursday's 'Full Collapse'). The result is a beautiful blend of passion, emotion and sincerity that is unrivaled in the budding emo-rock scene today. "Tell All Your Friends" is truly destined to be one of the breakout albums of 2002.

3 out of 5 stars Taking Back Sunday-Tell All Your Friends (an unbiased review).......2007-06-16

First, let me start off by saying that this is an unbiased review. I'm not a fan of the band nor do I dislike the band. I'm a fan of all types of music. I also won't be comparing this album to any other albums from the band. This review will be strictly on this particular album. Now onto the review.

Here's a breakdown of the songs:

You Know How I Do-As the title track, this song leaves little to be desired. The guitars and the drums in certain parts of the song are all over the place and it's hard to pay attention to the lyrics when they're being drowned out by the instruments. The bridge is the same way. The lyrics are boring and repetitive. The chorus is nothing to be happy about as it's one line repeated over and over again.

Bike Scene-The best part of this song is the chorus. The problem is that it's almost too short. When you listen to this song, you almost can't even pinpoint where the chorus is because it bleeds together with the verses. The lyrics are cute, yet strong. One other thing that annoys me about this song is it doesn't sound finished. The vocals are sometimes pitchy and it irritates me because the song could've been so much better if it weren't for that flaw. Overall, this is a decent song and it's not one I'd skip over.

Cute Without the E (Cut From the Team)-One of the better songs on the album. I'm a sucker for the chorus. My problem is that there's not enough of it. The end of the song is so monotonous and you're just begging for another round of the chorus to break it up. The ending killed this song. Again with the repetitive lyrics (could they not have come up with more than two verses of original lyrics?). And again with the unfinished-sounding vocals. This song could have been good if not for the looong ending.

There's No I In Team-I love how the guitars sound different in this song compared to the other songs. Now that we got the positive things out of the way, let's talk about why this song gives me such a headache. First of all, unless you have the lyrics in front of you, you'll never know what they're saying. With the whiny vocals and the yelling and the guitars, it all becomes one big blur. Furthermore, the chorus is nothing special. I was waiting for something to pull me in but I got nothing. The lyrics are cute, I will say that. Other than that, this song is one I'd skip over.

Great Romances of the 20th Century-The one song that I don't mind on the album. This is what punk rock is all about. Pumped up, great lyrics, great to sing along to at the top of your lungs. If there's one song on this album that I'd suggest listening to, it would be this one.

Ghost Man on Third-Another song that I enjoy listening to. It's definitely the most strong and powerful song on the album. I only wish the chorus could be stronger (and longer) than the rest of the song as it tends to blend in with the rest of the song.

Timberwolves At New Jersey-Pretty good song. I like how the lead vocalist sings the verses. As always, the lyrics are repetitive and the overlapping of the vocals is annoying. However, when it comes to pumping me up, it does the trick.

The Blue Channel-Looove the piano at the beginning of the song. I also love that the guitars sound harder in this song compared to the other songs. Of course we have the repetitive lyrics again, the chorus is pretty boring, the song is short, and there's absolutely no climax in the song.

You're So Last Summer-The lyrics are cute and I love the bass in the song. Overall, it's an ok song. We have the same issues in this song as the others.

Head Club-One of the few songs on this album that's not monotonous. I hate
that many of the other songs are basically on one key and the lead vocalist doesn't go anywhere near his lower register. Except for this song. We get to see a little bit of that. Same issues, what's new?

My verdict 3/5 stars. This album isn't anything special. There are only a couple songs on this album that stand out. The majority sound the same and are on one key. One thing that I noticed is that a good portion of the album sounds underproduced. Also, the lyrics are so darn repetitive. Bridges are repeated 3 or 4 times which is absolutely ridiculous. The choruses are not the high points of the songs like they should be. Rather, they blend with the rest of the songs. It's almost like they placed actual demos on a disk and called it an album. The one big thing that lowered my rating is the layering of the vocals and the instruments. At times it truly does sound like someone holding down one guitar string for a solid 15 seconds while someone is basically yelling to sing over it. It's not a pleasant sound. If I had to recommend a couple of songs to listen to on this album, they would be "Great Romances of the 20th Century" and "Ghost Man on Third". This album probably is most enjoyable as background music in my opinion. There are far better examples of good punk music out there.

3 out of 5 stars Not bad, but not good........2007-03-09

I gave this three stars because it's just okay. I don't know why all TBS fans love this album so much. It is the sloppiest musicianship ever, and the production isn't that great. "Where You Want to Be" is sooo much better than this one. This is just my opinion!

4 out of 5 stars Pretty Great !!!.......2007-02-23

I've always liked any Taking Back Sunday song I happened to come across in the last couple years, so I decided to purchase Tell All Your Friends. I'm glad I did, because I instantly liked it, and I love that--when you automatically fall in love with a song or album without having to grow to love it. Anyway, I would probably give it 4 1/2 stars since there isn't one song I really dislike. The only complaint I have is that while I enjoy all the songs they kind of blend in my head and sometimes I forget which is which until I hear it. Overall if you're interested I would recommend checking it out! In my personal opinion some of the tracks that standout are: You know how I do, Bike scene, Cute without the E, Great Romances of the 20th c., Ghost man on 3rd, You're so last summer, and Head club. Like another reviewer mentioned The Blue channel would probably be my least favorite song, due to the fact that I tend to forget it exists all together. But like I said... in general this album is pretty great!

5 out of 5 stars Still my favorite album derogatorily categorized as screamo.......2006-11-21

TAYF was Taking Back Sunday's creative achievement... thenceforth they've produced rather derivative, though enjoyable, pop punk less in the vein of this album than the legions of derivative punk cds that have been manufactured by low key punk producers for a good 8 years now. This album's energy is amazingly addictive, its hooks worthy of repeated spins many times over, and then, 5 months after you first burned out the album, you'll find it in a stack of your cds and fall in love with it all over again. It's an album like that.

5 out of 5 stars There is a "I" in Fantastic tho..........2006-08-24

In my opinion you either love TBS, or you hate them. This is quite simply TBS at their best. I don't think they can ever really surpass this album. That doesn't mean they can't make worthy follow-ups, but there just won't be another Tell All Your Friends. Even after 2 follow-ups, this album right here is clearly the best and the defining TBS album.

My first introduction to TBS was "Where You Want To Be," and on first listen I didn't like it. But I gradually started to really like and appreciate that album. This album was much the same. I liked it on first listen, more so than WYWTB, but it actually took me some time to fully appreciate it for what it was. After I did, I enjoyed it much more than WYWTB. All of their albums are great, but this one right here is where they truly shine.

TBS is probably something you could describe as a "guilty pleasure," considering they fall into the same category as bands like Fallout Boy, Hawthorne, and other similiar "emo" labeled bands that I dislike. Thats why I said earlier you either love or hate them, and as you can tell I would be in the "Love them" category. I wouldn't classify myself as emo fan, but TBS is clearly some of the best emo I've ever heard.

This album is just great music, its full of catchy lyrics that you can't help but sing along too. I really dig all the songs on this album, although I probably favor the first half over the second, but there really is no bad portion of this album. My favorite track is "There's no 'I' in team." I just really find that song interesting. Supposedly, its about a fallout between the frontman of TBS and the frontman of Brand New over a girl. Listen to the lyrics, it makes sense. Anyways, its a great song. If you like WYWTB or Louder Now, but don't have this album, don't hesitate to purchase it, its the stronger of the three. It's easily one of my most listened too albums that I pop in frequently to get a TBS fix in.

It is possible that there are singers alive today with more passion, conviction and beauty than Yolanda Adams working in gospel today, but it's doubtful. It's been a full four years since the glory-giving soprano has released a new album of her own music, and it's actually worth the wait. The banging funk tunes are tight and righteous, while the ballads will knock you clean off your feet. There are a host of guest artists on Day By Day—Mary Mary, Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, and others, as well as a half dozen of the hottest producers around. And all of that is cool, but none of them are really that necessary. This woman truly has been blessed with enormous talent, and she uses it judiciously and wisely. In fact, Day By Day is easily the best contemporary gospel album of 2005. --Mike McGonigal

Album Description

Day By Day is Yolanda Adams' truest testimonial of perseverance and faith to date. Inspirational messages, mixed with melody and praise, this album promises to be a record you will treasure. From "Alwaysness" and "Be Blessed", both produced by Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, to title track "Day By Day," Yolanda takes you through a journey of life.

I love this CD. The music is very inspirational and the lyrics are wonderfully arranged. Yolanda Adams has a gift of song. Praise and worship as well as some heartfelt songs. I'm enjoying it everyday!

5 out of 5 stars Forever Yolanda.......2007-03-11

The consistency and talent you'd always expect from Yolanda is evident on this album. A good mix of heart stirring ballads.

5 out of 5 stars Yolonda helps me pray and relax.......2007-01-12

This is one of the most well written and arranged gospel CD's I have heard in a long time. Yolonda Adams has one of the most beautiful and soothing voices of our time. This CD has a mixture of slow and uptempo gospel hits. Some have a jazzy feel and some make you want to jump to your feet and shout, Hallelujah!!! At any rate if you can't find a song on this CD to help you through whatever situation you may be going through whether you are Christian or not than I don't know what to tell you.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome!!!!.......2006-10-17

There are no other words to describe this CD. God has truly used Yolanda to minister to my soul and heart through her music. My favorite is "This to Shall Pass". I was really going through some things at the time I purchased the CD and hearing this song was just a conformation to what the Lord had been trying to tell me. Praise God!! I love truly every song on this CD. Very Very Well Done!!!

5 out of 5 stars Yolanda Adams releases a very soulful album "Day by Day" On a major recording label Atlantic records........2006-10-10

Yolanda Adams releases a very soulful album "Day by Day" On a major recording label Atlantic records.

Yolanda kicks off the album with an up beat party track "Victory". This is an ok attempt at a contemporary track. Production is nice but the vocal production lets it down. The album gets a nice lift with the next track "Tonight" Featuring Kirk Franklin.

The album continues in this direction with songs like "Day by Day" "Be Blessed" and "Show Me." Yolanda seems to "take it back" back to the times of the greats. Meaning that it a very soulful album. The kind of album you sit back listen and relax to. The music on this album is very relaxing. Production is tiptop. You would expect nothing less with super producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis all over the album.

Midway through the album we're thrown a musical treat with "Lift him Up" featuring Donnie McClurkin and Mary Mary. This mid tempo song showing appreciation to God for everything he has done for them.

Yolanda shows us what she does best on this album and that's singing. And boy can she sing. She sings her heart out on "Be Blessed and "This too shall Pass." Only few people can sing there heart out and it still remain about the message and Yolanda is defiantly one of them.

It would have been nice if there was a bit more up beat songs but this is still a strong album

5 out of 5 stars My favorite CD.......2007-05-09

I love this CD so much that I've worn it out twice!! Today will be my third time purchasing it. I've even downloaded a lot of the songs on my Dance Factory game and get my praise dance ON! It does have worship songs on it. This CD (Live Video actually) helped me receive my breakthrough when I was dealing with some heavy demonic oppression. I am 26 1/2 and have been saved since I was 12 and this is my favorite CD right beside Isreal.

5 out of 5 stars Off the hook.......2007-04-16

Yet another masterpiece by Tye and G.A. This album makes you cry, laugh, smile......
It's ideal for worship and for praising God. Tye is trully anointed and if you open your heart, God can speak to you through this album. It's been a real blessing to me.

5 out of 5 stars NO SOPHMORE JINX HERE!.......2007-03-13

Once again Tribett and Greater Anointing have come with the blazing album. I like the fact that this album was done live, because they are great at ministering in the live format. They can put on a show, even though that's not what it's about! The Go Go laden title cut Victory is one of the baddest songs out gospel, secular or otherwise. The percussion is funky and ferocius and Tye is calling out every demonic stronghold that would and could keep you bound. "I Have No Other Choice" is a rock tinged ditty that is done brilliantly and isn't silly if left in someone else's hands. "Falling" is such a commentary of a song on what is going on in the church as far as the saints acting like all is okay but still steeped in sin. "Alright" features Ms. Kim Burrell and Greater Anointing does there thing with the repetetion of the song to the point where you can really believe that everything will be alright! I respect Tye because as talented as he is, he could have gone the secular route, but chooses to use what the Lord gave him for the Kingdom. This is going to make Tye a super star.

5 out of 5 stars OUTSTANDING & ANOINTED! .......2007-03-12

This CD is Anointed... PERIOD, end of story! It's full of praise & worship and it's fun & young! I bought this out of curiosity and am now a HUGE fan! Highly recommend this to anyone, especially young adults.

I can't believe that I just read a few days ago that A Perfect Murder decided to break up...especially after just listening to one of the most brutal & satisfying metal releases this year & FOREVER! I own 'Unbroken' which I liked very much, but the album after that one, 'Strength Through Vengeance' sounded too polished & didn't seem to have a raw enough edge, but 'War of Aggression' blows both away easily! Metal fans don't pass this up! And boys from the band, PLEASE consider reforming again!

4 out of 5 stars A Perfect Murder - 'War Of Aggression' (Victory Records).......2007-06-24

Powerful five piece from Montreal. Very heavy, intense and bone-trashing metal to be taken in. Better cuts to rattle the neighbor's foundations with are opening title track "War Of Aggression", "Within", "Disconnect", "Sadist" and the in-your-mug "Legion Of Doom". Just might appeal to loyal follows of the likes of Corrosion Of Conformity, Hatebreed, Down and maybe Testament. Give this one a chance.

Album Description

Enjoy a little night music with Mozart and this ultimate collection of his music. This incredible 20-CD set presents the listener with all of Mozart's most famous works, from Symphonies and Concertos, to highlights of his best operas The Magic Flute and Don Giovanni. Take in his Missa Solemnis, Ave Verum and Requiem and don't forget Eine Kleine Nachtmusik...this set truly is the most definitive Mozart collection ever assembled!

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Collection.......2007-04-11

As a selection, this is highly representative of Mozart's music. Just seeing the volume of work makes one marvel at Mozart's genius. Hear everything from piano to woodwinds, symphonies to concertos as well as religious pieces and operas. On my cd player, which is not a very expensive model, I get fine tonal quality and dynamics. I would highly recommend this box set to any fan of Mozart's work.

4 out of 5 stars Celebrate Mozart's 250th at a Budget Price.......2006-01-11

This month will mark the 250th anniversary of the birth of one of the giants of the classical music world. While I am certainly not a classical music snob (the only Mozart piece I can identify is "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik," and what little I know of his life came from the 1984 movie "Amadeus"), I recognize his genius and the significance of his music.

This 20-CD box set gathers all of his major symphonies, concertos and operas into one massive collection. All of the selections are performed by European musicians (eg. the Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra, the Berliner Kammerorchester, etc.). While not household names, the music is uniformly excellent.

If you're looking for an inexpensive purchase (I got mine at a national retailer that rhymes with "Clam's Tub" for under $20!) to kick off your "Rock Me Amadeus" party, this is a great choice. RECOMMENDED
