Swedish five-piece Motorhomes quietly made their debut early 2002 with a support slot on Shed Seven's 'greatest hits' tour. Since then, they have slowly gained momentum, with their well-received debut single 'Its Alright,' a support tour with JJ72, & culminating in an appearance at the 2002 Glastonbury Festival on the New Bands stage. Pedar Claesson, Peter Mogenson, Adam Starck, Daniel Skaar & Mattias Edlund, who make up the Motorhomes, have been described as having 'boy-band good looks' but their music couldn't be further from the sappy dross normally manufactured by those who posses such features. Rather, the Motorhomes specialize in melancholic guitar pop that's heavy on the melodies. This is their second full-length album. Sony.

Not as good as Songs for Me & My Baby.......2003-08-04

Songs for Me & My Baby is such a brilliant and unique album that I guess I should've expected the Motorhomes to take a slight change in direction. The falsetto vocals that defined the band from songs like Heaven Sent and It's Alright are scattered throughout the album and I wondered if they got a new lead singer when I was listening to the first song. Anyway, it's still a good listen. The middle of the album, for whatever reason, contains the songs that I like the best - Psalm, Stop Me, Go.

This album is a bit more "up-beat" then their first.
Still the same great sound and a MUST HAVE for all Motorhomes fans!
This band is very "under-rated" and not well know yet so if you are looking for something different that noone else will have buy both their albums!!....(If you like indie/alternative/emo you'll love The Motorhomes!)...

I recently picked this CD up (Not On Amazon), and it is one of the better hip-hop CDs I have heard in recent years. All of these songs are truthful and come from the heart. Promoe is an amazing rapper, and if you're really into the hip-hop culture like me, you will definetly appreciate that he is connected to the graff world as well. This is Promoe's best CD, seconded by Government Music. With a few supporting artists and amazing beats, this is definetly a classic. I scarcely hear meaningful lyrics these days that AREN'T on the year's new Tupac record, but Promoe has promise. I personally feel that The Long Distance Runner & These Walls Don't Lie are the best tracks on the CD, but they are all really good. Promoe goes into so many topics and delivers them perfectly lyrically without distorting his views. I don't care how you get this CD; if you even think that you are a hip-hop fan, then you need to listen to this CD. Sorry 'new school' kids, this CD isn't a whack dance-tutorial/club-banger. This is straight-up hip-hop done by Sweden's Finest.
