5 out of 5 stars Diversity for the maturing Classic Rock audiophile.......2007-07-16

I'm usually the last in line when it comes to live albums, and overly long performances with few lyrics and covers sound like bad ideas, too. But these guys pull it off with a nuanced, sublime style that just sounds oh so great!

You don't get a second chance to create a first impression, so start with "Red House" (Jimi Hendrix), where borrowing from jazzy George Benson ("On Broadway") brings the crowd to life for the first of many times.

It's not a bang-you-over-the-head albums, but it does get my highest recommendation for the maturing Classic Rock fan with adequate audio equipment - don't forget to set your equalizer to flat.

5 out of 5 stars Hearing is believing.......2007-06-22

If you haven't been blown away be a great live album since the Allman Bros. at Filmore East, or Hendrix' Band of Gypsies, or even Santana's Moonflower then it's time you got this.

Just look at all the positive feedback below!

4 out of 5 stars Real Live-F Marino and Mahogany Rush.......2007-05-12

Breathless!! That's how this recording leaves you. Like a master painter this group leaves deft touches on their musical canvas. There is no lover of classic rock that can sit through "Poppy" and not be moved. Both a homage to those who tread before them and an innovative guitar tour de force; this cut alone makes the disc worthwhile.

5 out of 5 stars Speachless.......2007-05-09

I've never heard anything like this. A guitarscape of three dimensional presentation that is unforgettable. Frank makes his guitar speak like a living, breathing thing. It's as if his guitar is a part of his body. After listening to these CD's I had to just sit and wait until I could bring myself back from the mind trip that Frank had taken me. This rendition of "He's Calling" is astonishing. Simply astounding. You want entertainment? Well let me tell you, this is it. I said it before and I'll say it again. I've never heard anything like this.

5 out of 5 stars Amazing!.......2007-04-13

if you were to take all of the following guitarists; hendrix, stevie ray, satriani, vai, malmsteen, clapton, roy buchanan, duane allman, tony macalpine, santana, frusciante, gary moore, eric johnson, et. al., and combined them into just one guitarist, the end result would be something very close to frank marino. beautiful melodies and gorgeous tone? it's here. psychadelic, overdriven, blues/rock on par with anything you've heard? it's on here. blistering, cutting edge guitar, in the same vein as vai, satch, etc.? it's here. the man simply encompasses all of it in a way that no other single guitarist, that i am aware of, does. this cd is incredible in its scope. parts of it will make the hair on your arms stand up. parts of it will touch you deep in your soul and may even move you to tears. there are other times when all you can do is shake your head in disbelief and laugh. amazingly gifted musician.

It's been three years since Laundry Service transformed Shakira into an international rock diva, and we're still waiting for the official follow-up. As she toils away on her next studio album (due later this year), the Colombian temptress has kept fans distracted with a Washed and Dried special edition of her English-language breakthrough and a Grandes Exitos collection of her Spanish hits. Now comes Live & Off the Record, a lush CD/DVD package chronicling Shakira's 2003 Tour of the Mongoose. It's a must-have for Shakira fans and features her second live CD effort (following 2000's stellar MTV Unplugged). The real treat, though, is the DVD, which was filmed at a tour stop in the Netherlands. Shakira tears through tracks such as "Si Te Vas," "Inevitable," "Rules," and "Ready For the Good Times" with equal parts sensuality and animalistic ferocity. Her stage presence is positively electric. The accompanying documentary is also a revelation, capturing Shakira at her most honest and vulnerable. Highlights include the singer's bout with tendonitis (brought on by belly-dancing), an early-morning mariachi serenade from her boyfriend on Valentine's Day, and a backstage visit from novelist Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Fans' appetites should be whetted--for a little while. --Joey Guerra

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars An excellent album........2007-05-21

A must have CD for any Camel fan. This is the definitive version of "A Snowgoose." The performance is first rate. The first CD is excellent as well. I disagree with other reviewers that feel that this set is too much like the studio cuts. The performances are unique and enjoyable. Mel Collins is an excellent musician. This CD is worth the higher import price.

5 out of 5 stars LIGHT IT UP.......2007-05-09

The first time I heard Camel was in 1974, driving around Athens, Ga. The song was Nimrodel/The White Rider, one of their finest songs. I thought it was haunting and beautiful and I still think so. But as the late Peter Bardens says in the intro, their magnum opus is definitely "The Snow Goose," and it is played and produced maybe even better on this record than the original. In fact, all you need is "A Live Record." It has almost every great song Camel did in their prime and the recording will make you feel like you're right there at Royal Albert Hall. I pulled out "Mirage" and may never listen to it again because the great songs on that record are even better on the live version. Andy Lattimer's guitar throughout "Snow Goose" is electrifying, and this poignant score is brought to life with amazing clarity and firepower. It is unique in the genre. When I heard "Snow Goose" with a friend right after it came out we were both crying in our beer by the end. The first CD is very good but this record is really all about "Snow Goose" and the London Symphony add a great deal, though a few Camel purists may disagree. There are glitches, such as "Raindances," which sounds muted. But beginning with "Lady Fantasy" late on the first CD and ending with "Another Night" on CD Two you're getting 80 minutes of some of the best played and recorded progressive rock music on a live stage ever. And the other 55 minutes aren't bad either. Highly recommended.

4 out of 5 stars The classic Camel days.......2007-04-29

When I was young, I saw Camel live and bought several of their record albums. Years later I was able to find some of their stuff on CD, but missed their live sound. The disk Pressure Points came toward the end, after a change in personel and sound. I was thrilled when I discovered this import double disk. It contains the entire Snow Goose album (with orchestra backing), plus all those songs I had seen them play. The recording is of very good quality and the collection of material is first rate. So why not 5 stars? The price for an import is a bit steep. Try Snow Goose or Moonmadness or Mirage to see if you are "into" jam rock at its 70s best. If you find you like their sound, you won't be sorry buying this live set.

5 out of 5 stars Better than the original vinyl in every way.......2005-12-28

My original vinyl import still sounds great. But this CD reissue is incredible. More songs. Terrific sound quality. I'm sure to be annoying the kids just like I did my folks with this album turned up so loud it hurts...

5 out of 5 stars Greatest Camel discs!.......2005-11-25

These are 2 discs that are jam-packed with top-notch live Camel music. Everything from the original release is here plus more than a mere smidgeon of other unreleased tunes from the same concerts. Great collection of their Bardens-era music. The entire epic Snow Goose suite is here plus a number of previously unreleased stuff. Can't be beat. Get it. now.

4 out of 5 stars impressive livealbum, watch the main guitarplayer!.......2007-02-15

Having released already a fine bunch of albums under the Mahogany Rush banner, after the 1980 closer "What's Next" Frank Marino opted for a solo-carriere under his own name with the aid of brother Vince on rythmguitar and backingvocals but also retaining the same other bandmusicians (Paul Harwood bass, Timm Biery drums) so in fact all is just the same. In 1978 he gave us a live-album simply called "Live" (is there a better title?) which boasted his songwriting, were it not for the fact that at least half of the songs are not by his hand!, and of course the 1979 release "Tales of the Unexpected" was partially live, with 4 excellent outings, this time his compositions solely.
With the 1992 "Double Live" (now a single CD disc) we saw a fine return to form and also the "Mahogany Rush" flag again. Hot on the heels of the truelly excellent "The Power of Rock and Roll" and "Juggernaut" - a twin album, considered by me, they are so close in superb songwriting plus singing and guitarplaying by Frank, backed by a decent rythmteam (whith a change of drummers) - Marino was performing live everywhere and recorded some performances in the US (Texas, California) from which "Double Live" is taken. On vinyl four sides are now reduced to one disc only, with the extension an extra song. Strange as it might be this has nothing showcased from "The Power ...." which is a pity given the quality of those songs. On the other hand, "Juggernaut" (the album) is here presented with "Midnight Highway (spelled as "Midnite Highway"), "Free" and closers "Strange Dreams" and of course the titletrack. Even remarkable is that the 1980 fourpiece band release "What's Next" is presented heartedly with "You Got Livin", the Doors cover "Roadhouse Blues" (given his own songwriting abilities and the wealth of material at hand not really necessary, besides his playing was always more reminiscent of Jimy Hendrix than Robbie Krieger, the only thing they had in common was the use of the same type of guitar), "Rock 'N'Roll Hall of Fame" and as bonus the fuzzdriven "Something's Coming Our Way". Most songs are extended versions with plenty of room for blistering guitarwork. In "Electric Reflections Revisited" and "Sky Symphony To A Little Town" Marino demonstrates his guitarplaying abilities and creates unreal sounds with just a Gibson SG and a few devices, you can even hear a churchorgan. All in all a classic live-album.

5 out of 5 stars From Good To Great!!!.......2005-12-17

Wow I was blown away by the remaster job on this CD done by Frank himself. This disc always took a backseat to the classic "Live" CD from 78...and in it's original form it was OK.

Anyway now with the killer remastering job and bonus cut this is essential to any Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush fan. Some disc's say they're remastered but don't impress. This Double Live sounds so incredible now...it's like your listening to a new album...I waiting on my remasters of Full Circle & From The Hip...if they're done as well as this CD...I'll be very happy.

Frank rules and should be looked on as one of the top guitarist of all time...screw the critic's...and their Hendrix copycat label they've given Frank throughout his career. He might have started off at 16 playing like Jimi...but now he's got style and class all his own...as he plays jazz, funk, blues and metal ...with ease...and all with his own stamp.

5 out of 5 stars Best Remaster job I have ever heard!.......2005-08-16

I have to say that it is almost like listening to this gem for the first time. Frank Marino's first live album is the one that everybody talks about and deservedly so, it is a monster. But "Double Live" has always flown under the radar screen. And it's a shame because people missed a great live album.
One difference between his first two live albums was the production, even though "Double Live" was loaded with great songs, the sound was not that good, it badly needed to be remastered. Well it has been and it is incredible how much better is sounds, I can not remember a better remaster job, and I am big on remasters.
If you like Frank Marino get this album, it is loaded with Marino's brand of explosive guitar playing

Amazon.com essential recording

A 45-minute trip to bluegrass heaven, these 17 songs combine the talents of two unparalleled musical forces: Bill Monroe, the inventor of bluegrass, master of the mandolin, and owner of a bone-chilling, mountain tenor voice; and Doc Watson, the flatpicking genius with a soulful, mellow vocal tone. Much of the material stems from the legendary Monroe Brothers recordings. Their sublime harmonies carry plaintive ballads including "What Would You Give in Exchange for Your Soul" and "Banks of the Ohio," and uptempo numbers such as "You Won't Be Satisfied That Way." The roaring fiddle tunes are simply mind-blowing: "Soldier's Joy," "East Tennessee Blues," and "Fire on the Mountain" all rank as virtuosic masterpieces. If it's possible, the pairing exceeds all expectations. --Marc Greilsamer

Album Description

The essential genius of Bill Monroe and Doc Watson resides in their ability to infuse traditional American music with their distinctive musical personalities. Their unparalleled vocal and instrumental skills complement one another on these rare, previously unreleased duets. "...chronicles the early meetings of two instrumental geniuses. -- Billboard

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars You've already lived too long without this album.......2002-07-03

Buy this one. This is one of my 5 favorite albums of all time. The harmonies just kill me, and the instrumentals are enough to drive me mad.

No mandolinist would ever say that he's better than Monroe, and no flatpick guitarist would ever say that he's better than Doc. These are the two originals...the two masters...and it's just the two of them through the whole thing.

Do a favor to yourself and the country...buy this album, and let everyone you know have a listen.

5 out of 5 stars Doc and Bill pickin' a few licks!.......2001-12-12

Great album. Traditional fiddle tunes/hoedowns and early bluegrass tunes (most of them written by Monroe) played in an intimate relaxed setting. Some of Monroe's best Mandolin picking. Doc is exceptional as always.

Great album for musicians. With only two instruments playing, you can really hear what they're doing. Singing combination is very interesting as well: Bill's famous high tenor and Doc's deep, melodious voice.

This is a great album by two masters of traditional music.

5 out of 5 stars Like a hoe-down on Heaven's back porch ..........2001-11-30

Monroe and Watson are, of course, masters of their considerably crowded domain, and this recording shows why. Just a couple of amazing musicians having some fun together -- relaxed and loose but with plenty of sparks a-flyin'. The fingers are picking fast and furious. The vocals are superb, and some of the instrumental runs are simply breathtaking. Recording quality is more than acceptable.

The whole thing plays like a jam session at the country barbecue of your dreams. But it today and watch it get stuck in your CD player for days on end.

5 out of 5 stars Truly Great.......2000-11-01

This is a tremendous album by two of the legends of bluegrass music. If you like bluegrass (or just great music for that matter), you'll be blown away by these live, relatively loose jam sessions where their virtuosity and vocal skill is incredibly apparent. A must...

5 out of 5 stars First rate from 2 masters!.......2000-06-13

This CD makes you wish that Doc & Big Mon had done so much more together. Several of the cuts are songs that the Monroe Brothers did and are just fabulous. If you like Doc and Monroe individually, you'll love them together.

Amazon.com essential recording

"Howdy, howdy folks. We're glad to be back for another show here. As we do the numbers now, we're gonna call each fellow's name out so we can get right along with the show." And what a show. Bluegrass has always been a live-performance genre, on stage or in the studio, and Bill Monroe never sounded better on stage than during these heady years of the folk revival. He had something to share and to prove to his new audience, and he wouldn't meet them halfway, choosing instead his grittiest traditional material and singing, especially in the late '50s, with full, high yodel and wail. His voice mellowed into the '60s, but his band, including many of the best bluegrass pickers ever (Bill Keith, Peter Rowan, Richard Greene, and Bobby Hicks for starters), never gave quarter. To understand Bill Monroe and his various ensembles, one needs to hear his stage brilliance, and there's no better place to start than with these warm, clear live recordings. --Roy Kasten

Album Description

Previously unreleased recordings from the 1950s and '60s present Monroe concert performances, jam sessions, and festival workshops of Bill with the Bluegrass Boys and his brothers Charlie and Birch. This 75-minute collection captures Monroe with Peter Rowan, Bill Keith, Tex Logan, Bobby Hicks, Del McCoury, Hazel Dickens, Roland White, and many, many others. Includes rare photos and extensive notes by Ralph Rinzler. "...culled from both concerts and picking parties, [this recording] reveals what a holy terror [Monroe] was in front of an audience--even of friends, at 4:45 a.m." -- Newsweek

5 out of 5 stars Amazing.......2007-03-10

No one artist will ever be missed more by me than Bill Monroe. As a teenager back in the early 80's, before the corporate mentality took over bluegrass, Bill was out there burning things up. Nothing in this world will ever mean as much to me as watching Bill perform "My Last Days On Earth" live at Bean Blossom in 1983. His name is synonymous with people like Louis Armstrong, Robert Johnson, Elvis and Roy Acuff due to his guiding influence.

What is found on this disc are two phases of Bill's career. The first is the mid to late 50's when rock n roll was gaining popularity and country artists were plugging in to keep pace. Bill, ever the purist to what he'd created and being his typical hard headed self, refused to put any band on the road that carried an electirc instrument. It was during this era that gigs were hard to come by for "hillbilly" music. That doesn't in any way take awy from these perfomances however. Bill and crew were at the top of thier respective game and the delivery is completely flawless. Ed Mayfield is the guitarist and lead singer on several of these cuts. The toure de force he turns in on Blue Yodel # 5 alone is jaw dropping. Also included is a guest spot with Don Reno playing banjo on Bluegrass Stomp, with Bill providing some of the spookiest, blusiest playing ever to be heard.
The second phase is equally impressive featuring the likes of Richard Greene, Pete Rowan, Bill Kieth (introduced as Brad because Monroe was to be the only Bill on stage) and Tex Logan. It was at this time that Ralph Rinzler had begun managing Monroe's career and a resulting rennisance was underway, which in no small way helped Bill attract younger, more progressive pickers. The most amazing cut from this period would have to be "Wayfaring Stranger" with a completely impromtu instrumental call-and-answer on Bill's break.

This disc, along with the Doc Watson duet (also on Smithsonian Folkway) and the Bear Family box sets of Monroe's Decca recordings are about all a bluegrass fan will ever need for a complete catalog of The Father of Bluegrass' genius.

5 out of 5 stars An intimate glimpse at Monroe's onstage charm.......2002-12-19

A treasure trove of rare Monroe performances, from various folk fests and concerts. For the most part these live renditions don't capture the full intensity of Monroe's music, but there's certainly not a bad cut on this album. The best bit, though, is a track called "Monroe Family Segment," which consists of Q&A dialogs with fans and festival moderators asking Monroe to explain his techniques and how he learned them from various family members... Interesting in and of itself, but also a great glimpse at Bill's rapport with his fans.

5 out of 5 stars That was I call MUSIC........2002-08-03

I have gotten myself into bluegrass lately even though I'm not new to it either. I grew up hearing bluegrass music on television like the Beverly Hillbillies, Hee Haw and the Dukes of Hazzard. However, I always wanted to learn more about Bill Monroe and his music. The music on this CD is of course authentic, traditional bluegrass. I highly recommend this to any bluegrass and even non-bluegrass listener. I would like to see America get back to its music roots. We are losing it with the non substance music we hear today.

5 out of 5 stars Definitive -- Essential.......2001-05-23

This one is a must -- live recordings that show Monroe and the various Blue Grass Boys at their best. You will not be disappointed.

5 out of 5 stars The very finest example of bluegrass ever!.......2001-05-04

I knew I liked the bluegrass sound, but I didn't own any... so on a whim I found this CD in a store. I bought it because I thought I recognized the name, and it did have more songs than most. That was four years ago and I still think of it as one of the best purchases I've ever made. If you like the mandolin and high old time sound... then you must have this CD!! It's over an hour of the best bluegrass ever recorded, and the information in the cover/recorded interview with Bill (#27. Monroe Family Segment) really let you get a chance to know the man.

5 out of 5 stars Just as good as if you were seeing them in concert!!!.......2005-07-17

I just bought this CD and absolutely LOVE it!! I saw DHC in concert about 8 years ago in Hawaii and it was one of my all time favorites! This CD really brings back great memories of how GREAT they sound live! It's so upbeat and catchy!

3 out of 5 stars Not a great beginner's CD.......2004-01-06

This is my first intro to DHC. I am a big fan of groups with intelligent or interesting lyrics (TMBG, Barenaked Ladies, Nerfherder) and used the Amazon recommendation to look into them. I figured this would hit their better songs and let me decide if I want to pursue them further.

The problem with a live album is that it is harder to understand the lyrics so I am not sure if I would like a studio album since I am such a lyrics fan. They seem like a fun band with lots of energy and would be a good live show. However, I don't like how they drop the F-bomb a lot.

Overall, it is likely a very good album for DHC fans but maybe not a good starter's album.

5 out of 5 stars wow...just wow.......2003-06-12

To anyone reading this review, BUY THIS CD! I bought it after not knowing many DHC songs and it knocked me off of my feet. The CD was instantly on the list as one of my all time favorite CD's. There isn't one song on here not worth listening to. Trust me, it's the kind of CD you listen to in your car and decide to keep driving around, just so you can keep listening to..alright maybe I'm the only one that happened to, but trust me, there is not one song on here that you won't want to listen to. SO BUY IT ALREADY!

4 out of 5 stars Better Live than recorded, best DHC CD.......2002-10-18

If you're only going to own one DHC CD, it should be this one. It is a bit of a greatest hit compilation (though I miss Pick Up Lines and Setting Sun and some others) and many of the songs are better than on the studio recordings. I'll probably never get to see them live, but obviously they are meant to be heard that way.

If you can sit still through this CD, then something is wrong, because its mostly fast with many great lyrics.

Word of caution: DHC and the Ska sound is not everyone's cup of tea. But that is their loss.

Enjoy.

5 out of 5 stars Dance Hall Crashers... What else is there to say??.......2002-08-05

This CD proves that even after 11 years in the recording industry, DHC STILL is alive and rockin'! This happens to be my favorite DHC CD because of the fact that it features songs from ALL of there wicked albums (which I encourage you to buy if you don't have them already). The Live Record makes you feel as though you're at the concert, screaming and rockin' out with all the other fans! This is a MUST HAVE CD for any ska/pop/punk fan! So why are you still reading this??? Go and get this amazing record right now!!!!

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars America Unplugged.......2007-03-25

This live colection is a two-man 'unplugged' effort - just Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell, two voices and two acoustic guitars (or one guitar and piano in some instances) - but the sound is surprisingly full given the sparse instrumentation. The set draws heavily on the first two America albums from the early 70s when they were a trio (Dan Peek's been absent for thirty years now) but the songs still work wonderfully in spite of that missing voice. And the fun part is - you can add your own part to re-create the original three-part harmonies. If you've ever been a fan, you'll enjoy this.

5 out of 5 stars America back to Basics.......2007-03-08

America-2 guys and 2 guitars-(or a piano and a guitar) You can't get much more simple than that-and yet this really 'works' on this live album-featuring some of their old favorites-plus some more obscure tracks as well. The winner here is the superb sound of the guitars and voices-beautifully played and recorded. Even if you have all this stuff already it's worth having just to rediscover the great sound of 'America' as they probably sounded when they were sitting around in a living room writing these classic songs. There's a real refreshing intimacy here. Get it !

4 out of 5 stars The Grand Cayman Concert.......2006-03-04

I like America and this was great cd. It brough out the true voices of America. Anyone who likes America will enjoy this cd.

5 out of 5 stars Great acoustic concert in HDCD!.......2006-02-06

For those that care, this cd is encoded as a HDCD, so if you have a HDCD compatible player, this album just sparkles!

Anyway, it is a great recording and performance of just Gerry and Dewey on acoustic guitars and piano. You will not miss the band, these guys can do it all! A very special recording.

I don't know why record labels don't label HDCD's as such when they sell them.

5 out of 5 stars Great acoustic unplugged set by America!.......2003-07-07

I was very pleased with this live CD. Some real gems to be found here...Windwave, All My Life, The Pidgeon Song, and all the classics like Sister Golden Hair, A Horse With No Name, Daisy Jane, make this a great concert in an intimate setting. The harmonies and acoustic guitars really shine, breathing new life to these timeless songs. I highly recommend this CD to any fans of America.

4 out of 5 stars For The Record, You Can Plant This CD in your Collection!!.......2004-01-23

From time to time, I'll read a review about Savoy Brown, obviously written by a non-fan, which will state that not only is the Chris Youlden version the best edition of this band (hard to argue that one!), but that it's the ONLY edition that recorded anything worth considering!!! All I can say to that is brother, open your ears, because you're missing a LOT of great music, including this disc! Recorded live at the Record Plant (thus the name) in 1975 by the Wire Fire band, an edition of SB not usually considered one of the best, this band nevertheless rocks with fervor and jams with a passion so intense, that the result is one of the finest live albums of Kim and Co's forty years in the business. How could this be?? Well, let's start with excellent sound quality, notably lacking from most other SB live albums; it doesn't hurt that The Record Plant is a famous recording studio noted for excellent acoustics. Next, a solid bottom from bassist Andy Rae and drummer Tommy Farnell. Then two, not one, killer soloists: Founder/guitarist/guru Kim Simmonds (he of the fabulous chops!) and the gifted keyboardist and songwriter Paul Raymond. Most of the songs are jams, each about 5-9 minutes long (just long enough for a nice, juicy solo; not long enough to be BORING), with an excellent mix of time-honored SB classics ("Tell Mama," "All I Can Do," and an amazingly good "Hellbound Train") and newer material ("Hero to Zero," and one of the albums true highlights, "Born Into Pain", featuring a mesmerizing riff from Paul Raymond!) Through it all, Simmonds and Raymond repeatedly goad each other to new heights; each of these masters made some of their finest music together. Neither sing as well as Chris Youlden or Lonesome Dave, but both manage enough passion to deliver the goods. In any case, search and search again for this overlooked gem, and be sure to plant it in your collection right away!!

3 out of 5 stars Savoy Brown-'Live At The Record Plant' (Archive Alive).......2004-01-07

This gig was recorded live at The Record Plant Studio in NYC in late 1975 in front of a select crowd. It's line-up can boast of one original member,founder/guitarist Kim Simmonds and long-time keyboardist/vocalist Paul Raymond.Like Uriah Heep and Wishbone Ash,between myself and fellow music fans,Savoy Brown has always been considered to be a fine underground band.Out of the seven tracks here, the Savoy really showcases plenty of somewhat brilliant playing on "Hellbound Train" and "Savoy Brown Boogie".Also dug "Tell Mama" and their cover of an old blues standard "You Don't Have To Go".Simmons was noted for wanting THIS version of the band to display more emphasis on his guitar playing. That mission was accomplished.

5 out of 5 stars Outstanding blues-rock with fiery yet tasteful guitar-work........1999-06-16

I was enthralled to finally find a LIVE Savoy Brown album which represented how Kim Simmond's guitar sounds onstage. This album recorded Live in the studio is from the Wire Fire band in 1975. It includes those songs and more-the best ever version of All I Can Do Is Cry-Lead Guitar Heaven!! If you like hot but tasteful blues guitar-this is a must have!
