About the Artist
Matching primal rhythms with hardcore fury, metal crooning and 80's synth-rock is trio Psychotic Larry, "one of Boston's best, most unique, and truly underrated bands" (The Noise magazine). Singer/ keyboard-slung frontman Eddie Mars twists oddly familiar synth tones through a web of effects producing "texturally layered, piercing tones reminiscent of Herbie Hancock's "Rockit" plugged into a wall of guitar amps" (Boston Soundcheck Magazine). Beneath soaring vocals harkening back to an era of true rock singers, bassist Peet Golan guides Psychotic Larry's monster grooves with melodic savvy and a sonic range navigating the full extent of the fret-board. The engine erupting beneath the hood of P-Larry's over-charged hot-rod is drummer Jimmy Kuehn, infusing jazz sensibility with rhinoceros bollacks forging thunderous, complex groove landscapes.

Founded in 1996, Psychotic Larry steadily motor their way through the competitive New England club scene earning critical praise and emasculating guitar players everywhere. Nominated as "best unsigned local band" by Citysearch.com for "originality, intensity and verve for going where no band has gone before", Psychotic Larry were invited to play WBCN's prestigious Rock 'n Rumble in 2000 and have been featured in the Boston Globe as well as appearing on the compilation CD Common Sensei for the Mass. Cannabis organization.

With "overwhelming" (Soundcheck) live energy, musicianship and a completely unique sound by any standard, Psychotic Larry is an original band in an era of clones. The band released it's second CD Cop Porn featuring the single "The Dizzier I Get" in 2001, available at Boston area stores and through the Psychotic Larry website.
