This CD has become one of my all time favorite late-night records. Right up there with Sister Lovers, Leonard Cohen & some of the Palace stuff. "Oh Turpentine" and "The Winter Only Lasts So Long" are nice and dark. But there's some great pop hooks on here too -- "Sweet Wheels" and "Dear Mr. Tweaker." My favorite cut has to be "Seven Mile Affair" -- the lyrics here are incredible, as they are throughout.
