Wanted to say what an awesome sound you guys have. We've left it in the mix for several days now!

Product Description
This is the debut album for Soul Patch and first release by Toothless Monkey Productions. Right from its whimsically inpired title Soul Patch has created a rollicking, fun, and diverse album with some rocking tunes, offbeat lyrics, and inspired jams. "Summers in Rangoon" was recorded essentially live in a whirlwind 5 day session (with vocals and overdubs added later). The album has the chemistry that you get when old and some new friends get together and spontaneously infuse a little magic into new and original tunes. Give it a whirl, we'll let the music speak for itself.

5 out of 5 stars They only are two dollars.......2005-06-14

Very cool album, my favorite tracks are "Lose My Mind" for the guitar solos and "Arabic Ska" for the pure weirdness/coolness, but the whole CD is full of great jam band tunes. Fans of Phish, Moe, and String Cheese will definitely find something to like with this band.

5 out of 5 stars Unfriggingbelievable.......2002-10-05

If you haven't heard this band yet, you need to buy this CD. You will not be disappointed. From the catchy feelgood jams of "Make Me Feel," to the manic "Arabic Ska," you will hear a satisfying eclectic mix of funky, jazzadelic, fusion-jam pop. So there!! Or you can just buy 5 falafels or half a lap-dance..."Baltic Dungeon" is my personal favorite, but don't miss the classic homage "Drink the Girl." What can I say -- this band is destined for B-i-i-i-i-g thangs!!!!!!!! (Also - I heard they have a HOT new keyboard wizard. Can't wait to catch the act!)

5 out of 5 stars Smooth & funky rock grooves, tastefully done........2002-02-14

From first listen to Soul Patch, you know these guys are special. Obviously not your typical garage band, their diverse sounds and musically complex grooves go down with a spoon full of sugar. Unlike many bands that try too hard to sound "complex" and musically sophisticated, Soul Patch does it naturally; it never sounds forced and it never sounds complex. Musicians will appreciate the technique, while your average listener will love the groove! I challenge anyone to listen to "Make Me Feel" and "Drink the Girl" and not have the choruses ring in your head the rest of the day (but don't worry, its not the annoying ring that pop gives you). And "Arabic Ska" is definitely worth much more than 2 dollars! I promise you that while listening to this album, you will bop your head to the groove. Bypass the luge lessons, but definitely take your Summers In Rangoon.

If you haven't yet cracked open a dark Belgian brew, leaned backed in your favorite comfy chair, and tuned into the sweet sounds of Soul Patch, you haven't lived. "Bitter Wind," "Make Me Feel" and "Arabic Ska" are worth the journey alone, yet this whole album is well-balanced and "sweet funky."
