Editorial Reviews
Product Description
Debut full length album by 'the quietest band in the world'. A mixture of Low, Mark Hollis, Mogwai, minimalism & more. Featuring a string quartet & guest appearances from members of Six by Seven. Nine tracks. Glitterhouse Records.
The editorial review says that they are reminiscent of "Low, Mark Hollis, Mogwai." This may be misleading. There's Hollis moments, perhaps even Low inspired droning melodies, yet they also live near the emotional intensity of Elliott Smith which is not to say they "sound alike." All in all, they are approximations, and less than the real story of what you may hear.
An album deserving purchase, particularly if you can do better than the current prices it is offered at. Keep checking if money is the question, because the music is unarguably worth it.
arrangements are very good, and vocals very emotional.
