What is Wickie? I want some!.......2001-04-04

This is an even mix of German & American bands doing TV Show theme covers from their respective Countries. The only group I recognized right off the bat was No Use For A Name, who's Lavern & Shirley isn't as great as Less Than Jake's version (found on one of their earlier albums). On a whole, the American songs are sounding a bit rusty. The theme to Hooper, The Unknown Stuntman, stands out in this catagory as one of the better songs (though Hooper was never a TV Show.)

The German bands, on the other hand, are all great. I don't know what they're saying, but, man, I'd love to see some of these TV Shows. They all sound a bit wacky.

The downfall of this album is that there are a couple of better Punk Rock TV Show cover albums out there, and becuase of this, TV Sucks is going to fall under the radar.

Definately pick this up if you're missing the Ska beat that was "so popular" just a short time ago. It's well worth it just for Wickie, (what ever it means, it made me dance.)
