Editorial Reviews
A very Albertan band. Some might call it Celtic rock but it's really great rock with bagpipes!
Product Description
If ever you are in the mood for something new under the sun, it's time to experience McCuaig heavy, experimental, and best of all popular.
Their 13-song, mostly co- composed, self-titled album is an unusual mix of ingredients from the first minute when the pipes blow in with a skewed jig over an up-tempo funky rhythm. While much of the disc, has a solid guitar rock heaviness and its share of hooks, the band seems to enjoy throwing a curveball just when you think you have them figured out. The raw energy level is the most consistent part with lyrical themes that draw on everyday life and their own road experiences (two tracks are instrumentals).
