Perfect late-night music.......2007-05-20

Great CD, I'm not a big jazz lover but the music here is jazz at its best. Reminds me of interlude music to a late-night radio talk show: rich, textured and soft but with just enough tang to make it interesting. I play it all the time late at night while on my computer and like it more and more. Even the wife likes it, so it must be terrific.

Not since moving away from New York, sorely missing CD101.9FM Smooth Jazz radio, have I been pleasantly reminded of their programming. This CD is a sexy compilation of classic jazzy styles, fused together to make one delicious-sounding continuous stream of relaxing yet upbeat sounds.
Patti Austin's throaty voice blends with an eclectic mix of original and haunting sounds - my favorite "groove" is Michael Lington's "Twice in a Lifetime".
Try it while driving to mellow out in traffic. Also perfect listening when preparing a meal or kicking back after your hectic day, great way to relax.
