I want to hear good kathakali music by some by some well known ponnanis such as Kalamandalam Sankaran Embrandiri, Kalamandalam Unnikrishnan, or Kalamandalam Hyderali, or Haridas

This is a collection of various classical and spiritual music from some parts of India. It is very soothing to listen.

Not so good at all........2000-06-19

If hard core Indian Classical is what you're looking for, don't look here. It is all Indian folk music and dance drama. The music can get borring and is not lyrical and expressive like most Indian classical. Also, the recording is not very good, It sounds like a child's tape recorder was used. The absence of a booklet is also frustrating. I would have liked to know who the artists were, and what instruments were used. Overall, I thought it was a dissapointment, and if you ask me it is certainly not "all the best from India".

The best of India may add a few more 'Bests'.......2000-06-16

The fifth track is beautiful, rest was just OK.
