Editorial Reviews

Konomanda Music
A great CD

Product Description
The CD displays the art of popular African music in action. The music has a blend of interweaving Zairean guitar rhythm, West African Highlife and Caribbean Zouk. It is graced with rich percussion, West African drums and a dramatically explosive vocals. The most striking thing about the music though, is the rich and colorful guitar licks played by Tony "Guitar" Kamara. Tony has brilliantly played the guitar licks of the late Dr. Freddie Greene with absolute precision and cadency. Dr. Greene was a celebrated Sierra Leonean Guitarist, who received his Doctrate degree from Zaire's guitar diva, the late Dr. Nico of L'African Fiesta Sukisa of Zaire. (A full write-up of the story can be found on the Cd's inlay.) If you like the African Guitar, want to learn about it, or just fascinated by it, this CD is for you. Buy it. You would like it.
