got me hooked on Boogaloo.......2005-04-20

If you aren't already into Boogaloo, this will get you there. I'm a newbie to the specific genre but love both funk and latin rhythms. It's easy to love this oh so modern music of the late 60's and early 70's.

If you are a happy and like to dance, then boogaloo is for you! With lyrics in both english and spanish, non spanish speaking hipsters and squares alike will be able to twist, shake and sing along.

This was one of those CD's I picked out of sheer curiosity and it has opened up a whole new world for me. The compilation seems well thought out and the notes provided on each recording are very informative. The recording quality seems to vary per song. Some are crisp and airy. Other's you'll just be glad you have. Get this and just be glad someone did the work to put this series together.

4 stars for the collection and another for the thoughtful notes.
